Tried what the message said about using "C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL F:Program Filesrcv30rcv3.exe" and I still get an error. Can you or someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks..

you might tryC:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL F:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exe

Thanks Jd, but no luck I just open up the dos prompt.Well I'll see what else could work.. If anyone out there can help please fill free to join in...Thanks.

Joseph,I guess the big question is "Are you running XP?"

Hi Joseph,If the answer to Scott's question is "Yes, I am running Win/XP", use the command as suggested by JD, but make sure you do not use quotation marks anywhere on the command line. For example, using "F:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exe" will open the Dos prompt.Jacques

The answer to the question is yes, I'm using XP...The dos prompt opens up but RC doesn't launch..Thanks guys..

>The answer to the question is yes, I'm using XP... >The dos prompt opens up but RC doesn't launch.. Are you sure the path to cmd.exe is correct? Find the file on your harddisk and check. I don't know about XP, but its ancestor Win2000 has cmd.exe lying in C:WINNTsystem32

Hello guys well I have cmd.ex3e in c:windowssystem32....But like said its just not working the way its suppose to. Thanks for you help guys..Joe

Joe,Let's begin from the beginning.Have you tried the command from the "Start/Run" menu item? Does that work? Are you sure the path is correct to your RCv30 location? Are you entering the path without spaces and without quotes? What are you doing, and what, exactly, is happening?

Hi Scott Thanks for your help, now here it is I've taken asome screen captures to show you guys what I've got going. The first shot is the location of RCV3 and the second shot is what happens when I use the command in the start/Run....The command I'm using is as follows...C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL "F:Program Filesrcv30rcv3.exe"

are you making these changes to the icon's properties, or clicking start run, and then typing in the command?fyi, no pictures

Some how my screen shots are not showing up, but the answer to your question Jd is I tried adding the string to the properties icon and I've tried just trying to exe by using the start/run and its always the same it just opens up the command prompt..

I get no results using the changes to speed up the speech. As others have reported. I copied and pasted both commands to the icon target line and although I got no error, I got no results either. When I checked the task manager to check if there was a change to the priority column, I found no file for Radar Contact at all. Neither normal or abovenormal. There seems to be some confusion over drive letters and file path names. For a computer user like me who knows only enough to be dangerous, I need more help. For instance what is the "/C start /" part of the command? Is C a drive letter? As I check the post for Windows 98 and Me users, it is much more detailed with step by step instructions. Any help would be appreciated. I feel the program really enhances the Flight Sim program.RichRXPAMD 1900+512 ramgforce3 200ti
