Hi Scott,This is what I was mentionning in my post of Dec.26 (using the quotes will open the Dos prompt session). Maybe I was not clear! The way you show it should work for Joseph.Happy New Year to all of you.JacquesMontreal, Canada

I couldn't find a return to DOS prompt. Typed in cmd.exe.on the Start, Run menu. This put me into DOS, then I typed in "set" and found Comspec= F:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe. Am I on the right track?RichR

so now...instead of all the c:windowssystem32cmd.exe stuff you find in the hintsput F:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe and the rest of the stuff.

Hi Scott what happened when I cut & paste the command:C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL F:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exewas a "windows cannot find F:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exe" make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. I'm just about given up since nothing seems to work. Infact I copy and past everything and still not working....Thanks Joe

Joseph,Right-click on Program Files and see the DOS name for it. Use that name instead. Also, if you have Windows named something different, or is somewhere else, you need to point it to there.

Hi Scoot I'm not sure I know what you want me to do, but I right-click on program files and go to properties and I dont see the "Dos name" can you elaborate on what you mean.?

>>C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL F:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exeOn what drive is RC installed? I think maybe that it is on your C: drive? If so then the above reference to the F: drive is confusing you. Try changing the F: to C:Hope this helps?

Hehe - i was about to ask the same Hermit - to me it sounds more like the drive letter for a CDrom :-)

Well guys accually my hard drive is partition into C:,D:,E:,F: with F:, having all my Flightsim stuff....RC is installed at F:Program FilesRcv30.....Its not in C:, but I have know idea why its not being found on my system..Thanks Anyway....

Joseph,When Windows installs, it always places Program Files onto the same drive as the windows directory. How did Program Files get moved to F:?Just curious.

I've run into the same problem. My operating system is installed on partition J: (Don't ask,it's too painful to go into.)Radar Contact is installed at F:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002RCV30.No matter what I try it doesn't work.I've tried using the shorter DOS names ie. Progra~1 .No Dice.Doesn't work for batch files either.Regards,Mike W

It seems that those with partitioned drives or even dual operating system partitioned drives are having these problems as I am. I have ME on drive C: and XP on drive F:. All the FS2002 and addons are on drive F:. Changing the drive letters in the command does not work! Thanks to those who are trying to help.RichR

what is the XP command line we are trying to execute....C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe /C start /ABOVENORMAL E:RadarContact3rcv3.exewe need two pieces of information, where the cmd.exe is and where rc is installedi can make this half as hard.this is for XP only, someone can try the same concept for win 9xinstead of C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32cmd.exe lets do this%comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL E:RadarContact3rcv3.exe"of course E:RadarContact3rcv3.exe can be anywhere you need to know this. i can't guess where it is.

JD, I tried your method. This was my target line: %comspec% /J "start /ABOVENORMAL F:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002RCV30rcv3.exe"J is where the OS resides. When I start using this target I get a DOS window with F:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002rcv30Radar Contact does not execute.Any ideas?Regards,Mike W
