April 3, 200323 yr I have had RC3 for about a month and had no problems.Since I downloaded the update I have not been able to complete a flight as FS keeps crashing.Has this happened to anyone else?I have gone back to the previous version to see if the problem arises and have made a successful flight so I can only assume that there could be a bug in the update.I had set the priority to high although I can't see this being a problem.Mad_Dog
April 3, 200323 yr Commercial Member i think if there was a problem like that, we would have heard about it.do you have the latest fsuipc and advdisp?how or when does fs crash? does it crash with a default ms plane/panel?jd JD Read my blog
April 4, 200323 yr Hi JD , Have got the latest from Pete Dowson and have tried RFP 747 , DF737 and also Lago's Twotter. When I say FS crashes I mean that I get the message ' Flight simulator has had to close Please send report to microsoft ', I am then given the option to reboot.I have completed flights with these before with no problem. I don't think this makes much difference but I am also running with FS Meteo and FS Sky world 2002.As I said previously I have completed a flight since going back to V3.Mad_dog
April 4, 200323 yr Commercial Member try it without fsmeteo and fs sky world. i'm trying to find what the combination is that is causing the problemwhen does fs crash? as soon as rc starts?could it be scenery that has just been loaded? have you tried flying in a different part of the country/continent?jd JD Read my blog
April 4, 200323 yr Hi JDI have not had my FS2002 crash, but like Maddog indicated in his post I do get the message that there was an error, and ask if I want to send the error to microsoft, but this only happens after I have exit out of FS2002.I am running FSMeteo with the program and FSD Seneca Five.Kenny G.
April 4, 200323 yr All, This seems to be happening to a lot of us since we upgraded to AdvDisp v2.01(2?) whichever. See other threads on FS Crashes. I thought mine was due to ActiveSky (which I recently purchased) but I suspect the common thread is the new AdvDisp... I had never had a FS crash before in over 6 years and 4 versions of FS. Now their common -- say 4 out of every 5 flights!Steve KCLE
