RC4 Serious Problem!

Featured Replies

I just got RC4 today, and everytime I start up a flight, the RC4 ATC box doesn't display correctly. Any ideas?rc4helpcq6.jpgJoshuah Wetzelhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

When I deleted the .dll file, there is an error that comes up saying, "Run-time error '76': RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code." I tried putting the .dll file back in but I get the same message. Now what?Joshuah Wetzelhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

76 is path not found. what did you delete? just the .dll?rc doesn't even start? no splash screen?can you click the button that says .flt/.wx, and browse to the proper directory where the .flt and .wx files are stored?are you executing rcv4.exe in the directory where all the rest of rc is? the data directory, the winwood, etc?jd

Start an FS flight and hit ALT to get to the menu bar. Click on modules. If ADVDISP is checked click on it to uncheck it.Then click on Modules again. Click on FSUIPC. Open the GENERAL tab and click on I think Show text and then Multiline display to insure they are checked. Then close FSUIPC.See if RC starts OK now.Make sure you have upgraded to FSUIPC 3.71 for FS9 and/or 4.xx for FSX.If you still have trouble, close RC and FS. Navigate to the modules folder under FS9 if that is what you use. You should see FSUIPC.dll in there. Right click on it and click properties. Click on version and check. It should be 3.71. (If FSUIP.dll is missing you will have to reinstall it. See the pinned topics at this forum head where to get it.) While in the modules folder insure you have deleted advdisp.dll only. Then rename FSUIPC.ini to FSUIPC.ixx. A new one will be built when you start FS again. You will have to repeat the procedure for setting text up in the general tab of FSUIPC again and any other settings you may have lost. Then restart FS, load a flight. Load RC, load a plan, and start RC. See if you still have trouble.

76 ispath not found. do you have the .flt/.wx path set correctly?click the .flt/.wx button, and specify the correct path. that path will be saved for future flights.nothing changed between the time it worked, and now when you get run time error 76?where does the run time error occur?can you duplicate the problem?if so, there is a pinned topic on how to create a .logfollow those steps, duplicate the problem, send me the .log - i'll tell you what's wrongjd
