Hi!I have a bit of a strange problem when flying longhauls...Yesterday i flew EKCH-OSMJ, i did my planning i FSBUILD and exported the plan to radar contact, and it worked perfectly with all the right waypoints all the way untill after the last waypoint untill i reached OSMJ then it said that the next waypoint was 2500 m away to a very strange direction... I was told to descend to 11 000 feet. but then i continued to fly in the strange direction that it said that the next radar contact waypoint was...later i flew OMSJ-VTSP with the same procedure and the same result, everything worked perfectly untill the last waypoint... i told the ATC that i had minimum fuel, then i got the correct direction to the airport and the right vectors for approach and made a happy landing... this can

don't use .apl files. i think there was a limit of 30 checkpoints in .apl fileswhat planner are you using? every planner i know can export or file/save as a .pln file.use that formatthe .apl file format is there for pete dowsonjd

FSBuild has some duplicate or mislocated waypoints in its database. Check the Navlog for strange headings and distances after an autoroute and before you export. In the Build Options if desired you can elect to build from the route grid table which you can edit to eliminate wayword waypoints. This option must be selected for each session. Once the grid table is edited you then rebuild with the option selected exporting at this time. To reduce these autoroute or mislocated waypoint errors there is a duplicate check setting in the FSBuild.cfg file that lets some of these items be checked. See the FSBuild forum for details. I don't recall this setting off-hand.The above is based on my experience. I noticed inappropriate long legs on the map view which I followed by a route grid table check. Note that if you select a line on the route grid it will go red on the map assisting in locating the waypoint in question.Use the FS8/9 plan export for RC4 to read.

Im using FsBUILD so i can export it to fs 2000/fs 2002 and will get it in .pln but when i check the route im using between OMSJ and VTSP there is only 23 waypoints...(21 if you exclude OMSJ and VTSP)The route im using is: OMSJ SID MAXMO A419 SHJ P307 PARAR N571 IDASO P761 SADAP W107 PPB P628 OLSEL L645 SAPAM STAR VTSP I just copy and paste that into FSBUILD and then export it into a .apl(now im using .pln) and open that with Radar Contact...When i look at the plan in FSBUILD there is a nice line from OMSJ to VTSP without any detours of 2500 m...it says that the TOTALT distans is 2760 Nm...

can't you save your plan as a .pln? why go through all this copying and pasting?

Im going into Routefinder on the internet, then i copy the route i get from there and paste it into FSBUILD, then i save it as a pln in FSBUILD and open it in RADAR CONTACT.Is there a better way?

I use FSB 2.3. The free update allows export in FSX format as well, but fixes a few thinks. You have to go to http://secure.simmarket.com/default.phpClick on your account and log in. From there you go to your order details page for when you purchased FSB 2 and on the download list for your page you'll find the update.I'm not saying it is a cure but just suggesting you do it to keep it up to date.Also, on the FSB web site, if you have not installed Ernie's latest Airac I suggest you get it to insure the new Bangcock airport is in the list.Finally the VTSB scenery has been upgraded. This includes a fix which before this caused problems in creating the RC database for runways and navaids for it. Check your scenery version to see if you need to update. If you do install the update, run the scenery build utility in RC again.
