I am considering purchasing RC but would like to know how to show/hide the ADVDISP box without having a full version of FSUIPC.Can anyone explain?Thanks!

I'm not sure if you need the registered copy of FSUIPC, but otherwise you can just remove the advdisp.dll from the FlightSimmodules folder. Then you can see the RC text in a transparent window.Subs

From what I read in the manual (I think) you are supposed to have the registered version of FSUIPC to be able to do this. But, I also read someplace else that there was possible a trick to get this to work without the registered version. I guess I'm trying to find out what that is (if it even exists).I am considering purchasing RC but I wouldn't want that little box to be showing all of the time. That would pretty much be a deal breaker.

Hi,you can do this with the unregistered version. If you have a look at the FSUIPC for advanced users guide, section 4 describes how to do it.(this is for FSUIPC version 4 for FSX I'm talking about.if you are using FS9 then you'll need to check the advanced user guide for version 3 just to make sure it's the same). I would recommend registering the program though, for the price it gives you lots of useful functions.Steve
