March 18, 200719 yr I am defraging (w/ Diskeeper 10) for the first time since my RC4 install. I started yesturday, and 36 hours later, it is still only 40% defragged!!It is not stalled, it is still running. according to the crawler across the bottom, the whole time it has been defragging the RC4 .wav files. Is this typical for it to take so long? Previously a defrag wouls take 12 hours; at worst.

March 18, 200719 yr Commercial Member i guess if your disks were badly fragmented before installing rc, and you install rc, with it's 100,000+ files - they are going to be scattered all over the place.let it run. it won't be so bad next timedefrag before installing next timejd JD Read my blog
March 18, 200719 yr Author jd:Thanks jd. Do you think it would be worthwhile to uninstall RC4; defrag, then re-install?
