March 29, 200719 yr Maybe an option in the Controller Info page to enable a STAR arrival. Departure procedures can already be used so thats not a problem. Maybe a way for the controller to say "descend via Standard Terminal Arrival" or something so you can descend and fly headings according to the STAR and they just hand you off to approach within 30 miles of the airport.Just a thought :-) ---Brian Bash---398 HR MEL PPL and climbing!
March 29, 200719 yr Commercial Member we'll see what we can do. without knowing every possible star in the world, and the inability to put every arrival star into the flight plan, it would seem a very difficult featbut we do provide you the ability to fly any star you want, by asking for an iap approach once you contact arrivaljd JD Read my blog
March 31, 200719 yr What I would really like to see for V5 is ground ATC like what the default FS9 ATC has. That would make an already awesome Radar Contact absolutely kick butt!Mike
March 31, 200719 yr Commercial Member maybe you can go into more detail, and let's see how much of what you want is in v5jd JD Read my blog
April 1, 200719 yr 1. For taxing to or from the gate, ground ATC will give the directions via taxiways. ATC will assign the gate or ramp after landing.2. Ground ATC will keep track of and direct ground traffic to avoid on the ground collisions. Without this I find my aircraft on a collision course with another AI aircraft on the same taxiway. Even if I stop the AI aircraft keeps going and passes through mine. I always have collisions disabled so that I don't have to start over again.3. FS9 default has a optional pointer system which directs with purple arrows (FSX has yellow arrows) which direction to taxi. This can be useful, but is not absolutely necessary. I mostly use my airport maps for that anyway since in real life these arrows are not present. If Radar Contact could at least do #1 and #2 it would be great!Mike
April 1, 200719 yr Commercial Member 1) might happen. far more complex than it seems2) i will hold ai so they don't hit you while taxiing. this is still a work in progress. but i don't know where the ai are going, so it's hard for me to tell which taxi way is good for you 3) sorry. won't happen. i do give you a heading and a distance to your runway threshold, but i won't put a bogus line on the taxi way for you to follow.jd JD Read my blog
