This is the first time I`ve used RC for some time and I would like some help.I get info from RC regarding QNH, Squark etc, but then I get to a point where the only option is to request a runway. Nothing seems to be happening.Can someone remind me what I`m doing wrong, please?

It sounds like you've tuned to Clearance and have been given the QNH (Pressure) so you can set the altimeter and to set your Transponder to the code given.After that you'll be told to contact Ground who will give you clearance to taxi to the assigned runway. As you approach that runway you'll be told to either monitor Tower on nnn.nn or Contact Tower on nnn.nn.If none of that makes much sense I suggest you revisit the tutorials to refresh those grey cells.;-)

Thanks for that. I tried again and this time they did come back, but it took quite a time before they responded. Guess I`ll just have to be more patient!

It is no longer choppy audio but this introduced another "penalty". For longer audio collected phrases such as various clearances, a lot of unique (to your taxi, route, or other long clearances) .wav files are combined before audio starts so delivery is smooth.Your disk access and CPU speeds contribute to how long it takes to combine the audio files for playback.
