Modules Menu

Featured Replies

Hi all,i have just installed RC4.3 but when i am in FS9, Modules drop down menu there is no adv display option.i can get it up by running RC while i'm sitting on the tarmac, but i think this is FS own viwer and not radar contacts, when i right click on the box i can't dock it or anything, just close it.any ideas? i have searched for an answer with no luck.

Hi,I am having the same problem. Right now I'm waiting on JD. Hopefully it can be corrected soon.

at first i thought it was normal, but then i read some where that it is just the FS viewer's own way of displaying it, if you close the window there is no way of getting it back.I have also noticed in the fs9/modules folder there is no sign f any radar contact files, i'm sure there should be.anyway if JD gets back to you please be sure to post the fix in this thread.thanks

there is no need for advdisplay. it's not installed.fsuipc 3.75 or greater does the display for you. check the multiline display optionif your display is green and garbled, right mouse click it, and closejd

nothing in modules except for fsuipc 3.75 or greateryou can delete advdisplay.dll if it is there. it shouldn't be.jd

so are you saying the manual is out of date and we should ignore it? as we do not have anything to tick.and there is no way of docking the window?please confirmthanks

Hi there,Correct if you are using the 'Radar Contact' window provided by FSUIPC 3.75 and on. This window is 'transparent' and it's docked state is remembered by FS. It behaves just like the FSATC window in fact. All the best,John

ok thanks for clearing that up.so if you accidently close the window how do you reopen it?

If you look under 'keyboard' in Radar Contact options you should find a keystroke for 'Display Window' (in mine it's shift' but I can't remember if that's the default). That should reopen the window. If you have the registered version of FSUIPC you can set a hotkey in FSUIPC to toggle the display on or off. All the best,John
