Final Approach

Featured Replies

Hi guys, quick question for the RC team, I on every flight that I have done via the FS9 flightplanner, everytime approach tell me to flight a certain heading to intersect the ILS path for the specific runway, its alwsy too late and I have flown past the path to intersect. Is there anything I could do to have ATC tell me to intersect the path sooner, this is happing on all my flights and the only way to tell if I have passed the ILS glide path is to glance at my GPS and then I have to correct the heading to get on the ILS path, kinda unreal especially when Im at zero visiabilty with trublence and showers. Anything I could do to smooth out the heading instersection to the ILS approach? Thanks guys,Bill

this happens at every airport. i can see this happening at airports that have a 30 degree offset to the runway, but not at normal airports.are you asking for short finals?the .pln file really has nothing to do with what is happening. i do all the vector calculatations based on lat/longcan you post a screen shot, of the aircraft path, showing how you are overshooting the ils?jd

Hi Bill,I can't see a screenshot ;-) What's your speed when intercepting the ILS? It's not just a case of you going too fast is it? In a B737 or Concorde I use the same speed - 190kts. Works everytime for me :-)Cheers,
