There is a button named General on the main RC interface. I want to see what options you have set.Press General and take a screenshot and post it here please.If you're hearing transmissions when you tune manually and press the relevant key then you have not selected "Tune on Contact" and everything is working as it should.Have a read of the manual. It explains all about this.

Well, I am not at my home computer so can't do a screen shot until later. But I know far a fact, Tune On Contact box IS checked. Is it not supposed to be?Any other ideas?

'Tune on Contact' can be checked or unchecked. Either way RC will work correctly providing you understand how that option works.If 'Tune on Contact' is checked then all you need to do is press the appropriate keys (CTRL+SHIFT+1 for example) and the radio will be tuned by Radar Contact to the frequency listed against option 1 automatically and you will hear a RC instruction. So, based on your settings you need to press CTRL+SHIFT+1 for option 1, CTRL+SHIFT+2 for option 2, 3 for option 3 and 4 for option 4. Please advise if that works.If 'Tune on Contact' is NOT checked you need to tune the radio manually and then press the appropriate keys.If you have spare buttons on a joystick it's useful to assign those key strokes to a button for convenience.Let me know how you get on with that.

Yes, i totally understand what you are saying... I have tried it all.Nothing is working.Are you sure theres nothing wrong with the FSUIPC?

Well you did say earlier that manually tuning did cause ATIS to be broadcast. So something is working.I really need to see a screenshot of your General screen. Please post as soon as you are able.Regarding FSUIPC please confirm you are running FSUIPC4 v4.20 or later.We'll get to the bottom of it!

not sure if that is the problem or not.fsx needs the focus not the fsuipc window where the menus aredo you have other add-ons running, that might be using ctrl-shift-1 and 2?what happens if you hit ctrl-shift-k?why don't you follow the steps at the top of the forumstart fsstart rcclick debug in rcload the .plnclick start rcflip over to fspress the keys you have defined for rc, ctrl-shift-1, ctrl-shift-k ctrl-shift-pthen stop rczip up the .log and send it to mejd

Hi Skinsalon,I had a similar problem with RC as well.For me what cured it was to ensure that I went through the various screens each time I wanted to use RC. Loading up the flightplan, then checking out the Controller info screen, followed by the General screen & then keyboard & voices where I usually left 'em at the default settings. I still follow this process today, but for the main 'in sim' RC selection keys, I have 'em prefixed with the CTRL key so as not to confuse the LDS 767 fuel filling chappie, who seems to work of the same actual digit choices. Sometimes the little RC menu box does not appear when I run RC & FSX, so I usually exit back to the free flight menu and exit outa RC and then re run RC, get set up as above and run the flight on FSX. RC always works then for me the second time around if it fails to run on the 1st time. excellent program though, looking forward to V5.Cheers,Dave.
