  • PMDG to announce new product at FSExpo

    skelsey

PMDG are set to announce a 'new product line' at this year's FlightSimExpo in Las Vegas.

In a press release, the conference's organisers say the product has been in development since 2008 but has never been announced to the public.

PMDG CEO Robert S Randazzo, however, has been tight-lipped thus far.

More than 35 exhibitors will be in attendance at the event, which takes place at the Flamingo Las Vegas resort from 9-10 June, but Randazzo's appearance will undoubtedly be the most eagerly-anticipated.

Speculation about the announcement has already gone in to overdrive, with many users theorising that a new simulation platform could be in the offing:

Randazzo has previously hinted at a major secret project, saying that the JS41 for P3D would be delayed due to a "major... massive, YUGE even" project, leading some to believe an A380 could be in the works.

If true, such a move would represent a major departure from PMDG's established Boeing stable and a direct challenge to YouTuber Matt Davies' A380 development, as well as Airbus specialists FSLabs.

Knowing PMDG, however, the only time anyone will be able to say for certain what is planned will be immediately after Randazzo stands on the podium in Las Vegas.

That is likely because FSExpo have not posted the full text of the press release online.

However, I am very happy to provide the full text of the e-mail sent to media outlets for you:
