  1. A picture says more than...It creates a temp file (temp.sca)which is placed in the same directory where ObPlacer.exe is located and the output file (*.*.sca) which name the user defines in output file path in the GUI.Both contain the same info in my case:; Macro( "C:Documents and SettingsRobBureaubladBronson CreekWorkspaceconstruction_cone.api" 56.6797459448876 -131.084981259283 22 0,5 146.964592599013 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 v2= 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 )No other stuff. I reinstalled VB runtimes but no luck...grrr..:(Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 2. Hi Scruffy and thanks for taking the time to (re)answer my questions.I especially wanted to use ObPlacer because it's a simple tool to place the older api format stuff and i'm very fond of Tom Fica's macro's (Does the guy still life and hang around in the FS scene?)However, I installed per instructions. Open FS, slew to the desired position. Via ObPlacer GUI I insert the desired api, places the object and wanting to compile by pressing Compile scenery button.Scasm.exe is in the same directory as ObPlacer.exe. And after pressing the compile button I'll get the error message "Run Time Error 53 File not found".Mmm...does SBuilder work in the same wauy as ObPlacer. What I like about Arno's tool is that could slew in Fs and place an api with great precision. Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 3. Hi,If nobdy knows. Is there another tool to place macro's or api's in the sim which works likes Arno's tool does. I.e. by getting lat/long information directly from FS.RobRob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"
  4. Hello,Because Arno has just started to enjoy his holiday to corse, I thought maybr that here would me more ObPlacer users to help....I just (re)installed ObPlacer v0.40 in a seperate directory toghether with scas.exe (latest). However when trying to insert some macro/api files as described in the manual i'll get a run time error 53 "file not found" error.I tried with reinstalling .net, VB, etc stuff but without the desired results. What's could be wrong here?all the best,Rob__________________Rob de Vries Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 7. very simple: Megascenery! GE PRO is nice to liven up the dull stock MS textures but photoscenery is depiction of the real thing. Never seen such beautiful mountains in SO/NOCAL. no problems with blurries at long as you have a moderate decent system and good settings. So I would love to see my FS world totally covered in photoreal scenery (so not the photo realistic texture tiles)Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 8. bkeske and Tord, Thank you, it's much appreciated.Gonna look into all the info. But I remembered that some time ago a package was released at avsim or flightsim.com with information and tools to do pilotage and or dead reckoning...Edit: I believe it had to do something with this package:FS2004 Plotting Tutorial with fully-functional, free software by Glen Copeland: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...misc&DLID=79175Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 14. You're welcome. please let us know on which offering you decided :)Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"
  15. Both for one reason. Emma Field is still great and with the Realair package you'll get Bear Gulch scenery nearby. So you have three airfields and three suitable airplanes for landing in difficult airstrips. but if you have to limit yourself to just one package. Buy theRealsir package because you have best of best GA planes and a nice little landingstrip to practice your bushflight skills...Look here for some nice reading on the RealAir offering: http://www.simflight.com/modules.php?name=...rticle&sid=7875Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 19. :) glad to hear the sound problem has been worked around..Both are great planes and if you installed the Argosy (which is also a hoot to fly) just alias the sound.cfg of the HS.748 to the Argosy like this:{fltsim}alias=FSDS2 AW Argosysound<- don't use the brackets but the hook thingies insteadBest!Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"
  20. Does the HS Argosy also crash or cause the same trouble? If not use the sound files of this bird instead?Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"
  21. Hi there,Great news! Rick Piper has released his long awaited Hawker Siddeley HS.748!It's being uploaded to the avsim library but I have not seen it yet (12:40 UTC)but I got it from http://classicbritishfiles.com and the support forum is here:http://cbfsim.org/cbfsimv5/cbfsbb/viewtopic.php?t=5303http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d6/GarryRussell/xw730.jpgGo get it and spread the news!!Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 22. Great news! Makes 'autogening' phototexture a lot easier? Isn't this more suitable for the scenerydesign forum? Thanks,Rob
  23. Hi Rick,Nope no dutch Hawkers as far a I know so you're right. But our neighbours from the belgian air force had a HS-748 with a nice clean paint, so perhaps when you have time and good mood you might wanna consider painting a Belgium - Air Force Hawker?Look here:http://photos.airliners.net/photos/small/1/6/8/0281861.jpghttp://photos.airliners.net/photos/small/6/9/2/0773296.jpgThanks!Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. 24. Duh..of course we know your stuff! Com'on leave the profile back to designing the Hawker!! ;)Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"
