  1. Thanks very much for taking the time to write such a detailed response. I really appreciate you sharing first hand experience about how the aircraft flies and operates. I was actually very close to purchasing the aircraft today but after taking a closer look, I've decided to hold off until the visual model develops over time. Thanks again!
  2. How well is the roll inertia simulated on the FSS 727? I have heard reports it flies like it is on rails?
  3. Who does microsft cator to?There might have been a mixup in the advertising department regarding what system it was designed to run on but who cares? If aces was less than truthful, then sue them for everything they own. That appears to be the most common thing to do these days correct? My sim runs absolutely wonderful on my old system with smooth frame rates and I am perfectly happy. My argument is kind of pointless but..Mycrosoft created a great game that will sell a ton of copies and they were under no obligation to cator the third party developers. When you change a game engine, you change everything and as far as I am concerned and they they did it right..Sawacs
  4. I just got out of a flight with a good friend of mine..We departed San Patricio Country in the B-58 and headed for Laredo" he was nav/systems operator and the only thing I did was flying the plane and work the throttle. In one word: absolutelyfarkingincredible!!!!For once we now have the ability to fly with a friend and have them slave over the pilots every need:)- Change my heading- Change my flap setting- Change my mixture- Retract my gear etc......................The ability to do this is amazing. It brings a whole new idea the flightsim community! The friend flying as a "slave" can do anything and everything except actually fly the plane unless I give him control with a simple key command. He can throttle one engine back, deploy the spoilers and set up the entire ap system and much more. This is rediculous!!!!In summary, the "co-pilot" can perform ever function on the plane except actually move the control surfaces on the plane..Sleep will be limited for months on end..Salute!!! Microsoft!!!Sawacs

Xp 2700 W 1GB Corsair LL Memory.Creative XFI Sound..Nothing really spectacular to note..Do not run bloom or autogen period. Also remember some people build their own systems which gives them great flex over what mobo and memory they get etc.I build my own computers and would never ever purchase a computer system from a third party manufacturer etc...(this is my personal opinion and others may differ greatly from my opinion and serve them well.)Sawacs

  7. I am currently running an AMD Xp2700 with 1gb of memory and a 9700 ATI video card along with a creative XFI sound card.My game runs very smoothly but I do not run ships, vehicles, bloom etc and the game looks wonderful without them: I don't even think about turning on autogen as it is kind of a joke except for photo purposes. With my system the game runs remarkably well and actually looks better than 2004.Re-think the following statements.."I hate to be the bearer of bad news but no way that rig is going to run fsx""You could consider yourself lucky to run the game at all with marginally smooth frame rates with everything turned as low as it goes""Time to upgrade."Cheers, Sawacs
  8. After the long wait I went down and purchased a copy of the deluxe version yesterday at one of the only local Best Buy's that had the sim on the shelves (three others in the local area stuck with the original sell date).Call me a very very bad bad person:)FSX really is a wonderful sim noting the following improvements.- Smoothness is incredible. The microstutters appear to be gone, along with scenery transition stutter, and the sim just plain flies smoothly.- There is something about the sim that is simly awe inspiring when flying at altitude from the smooth sky to horizon transition to again the lack of microstutters and scenery transition pauses.- The VC's are amazing! Where I enjoyed a few of the payware aircraft in 2004, I found myself liking the improvements more in FSX flying the default aircraft than using payware in 2004. - Real weather is nicely improved. I have yet to be able to exlain it but it appears to be more refined.I will leave the comments at this for now. My hat is off to the FSX developement team: great job!Cheers, Sawacs
