  1. Thanks for the reply. Interact with AI is checked. AI Smooth 1.2 is installed but I haven't run it lately, thinking it would be good to give RC some time without additional applets involved. FSUIPC isn't quite up to date. It will take some time to try out all the various combinations. -Gregory
  2. On my first few flights with RC, on final for KDCA Rwy-1, an AI flight (A320 or B737) passed me on the port side, speeded ahead and landed about 1-2 mile prior. Crossing the shore of the Potomac, I mast have gotten into a wake vortex and suddenly rolled to port and CRASHED into ground short of the runway, ruining an otherwise very good flight! Will RC v5 be able to vector 'us' meaning users into an arrival sequence with AI? or will the conflicts continue? AI cutting in on flights might be good to thrill the newbie FSX gamer but not so great for us who consider FS to be a science project. :)) -Gregory
  3. Thanks for the reply. Have about six RC flights under my belt now, and it's excellent! and very intuitive. The default ATC window is also disabled, so to taxi in, the procedure would be to re-enable ATC window and increase volume? -Gregory
  4. Hi.. I'm new to RC and like it a LOT. Also run ASE and VRInsight M Panel. Have noticed that RC will say "taxi to Ramp" when contacting Ground. Many times I end a flight after clearing the runway, but should really print out the airport chart/map and navigate to a GATE.My question is related to enabling default ATC for taxiing in, plus I still get default ATC contacting AI flights while en-route. Others on Usenet have described how to disable default ATC but it still talks. How and where should a RC user set default ATC? and how to re-enable when taxiing in? Have been reading the forum here but haven't found that topic yet. Also I must fly over New Jersey and NYC to get a GOOD dose of AI and listen for RC interacting with them. It's very quiet on RC when it comes to AI.Replies in procedure format would be VERY good. :)) -Gregory
  5. Wow.. that's really extreme. I'd guess there is no `Reset to Default
  6. Being new to HiFi, I've apparently messed with too many settings in ASA because there is no longer any control over (or more correctly the ability to reduce) the upper visibility. Also the barometer seems to be at 29.92 on the runway -- I mean it could be, but usually it's different? yes? The main issue is that I'm trying to LIMIT upper visibility, since having Cloud Draw Distance (CDD) in FSX set to 60 or 70 mi, the clouds abruptly STOP at that range, leaving empty air beyond. So how can one reset all of ASA settings, and then proceed to limit upper VISIBILITY to something like 40 mi, thereby REDUCING the downloaded VIS? This is what I refer to as `visibility mitigation
