  1. Is there any other way to set affinity than SimStarter in Windows 10? I recently updated Windows and I used to use Prio but as far as I know Prio doesn't work in Windows 10. Is there any similar alternative in Windows 10 (Prio was extremely lightweight application)?

You can do through entries in the fsuipc.ini file, I think it is described in the Advanced manual.

  2. Personally, I dropped UK2000 products some years ago. At a time where companies like Flightbeam, FlyTampa, FSDT and a couple of the developers under the Aerosoft distribution label had shown what could be achieved with modern, updated tools and techniques the developer of UK2000 kept insisting on developing in an FS9 environment and subsequently porting his products to FSX.

    I have never looked back.

From the OP: "...I already asked for help over œ FSDT. Unfortunately Umberto wasnt able to help me albeit he tried hard..."

  4. ...  DeltaVA (2500 pilots) publishes their stats and show 75% of  ACARS flights are flown using FSX/SE, FS2004 10%, and P3D 7%...

BAVirtual (1250 pilots) shows something like FS9/FSX 65.3%, P3D 31.3%, XP10 3.3% for March and I'm sure P3D willl have increased its share when we get the April figures.

  5. From the FSUIPC installation log it looks like you have both FSX (boxed) and P3D installed in E:\Flight Simulator\ and this results in installing twice into that directory, but using different EXE.XML and DLL.XML locations.

Maybe try to get rid of the registry entry that points to FSX (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0) the re-install and see if that helps ...

  6. That's interesting. See my above post: I just uninstalled Concorde X again and that solved it. Maybe a coincidence...I still have to check with FSLabs or try installing it and deleting the 2 files

ConcordeX 1.32 works perfectly with P3D 3.2.3 here, so I would look elsewhere.

  7. Anyone know of EZdok works with V  3.2 of P3D. I asked a couple of times on the V 3.2 thread, and have yet to get an answer. Looks like nobody that installed 3.2  uses Ezdok, which I find hard to believe.

    Bob,

Posts #52, #238 and #249 in the very thread where you asked the question all confirm that it works - post 192 has partly negative feedback.

  8. Let's get the terminology correct - what we're seeing is NOT a memory leak, it is simply FTX Vector springing into action. At the moment I'm approaching the Canadian / US border near Sault Ste Marie on a flight from LHR to IAH in the PMDG 777, and the NATs are so northerly today that I crossed the Canadian coast some 400 kms north of Goose Bay. Take a look at Google Maps - I have passed hundreds of thousands of lakes of all sizes and of course VAS usage increases because of that! I've been as low as about ~ 450kb left, but because of the amazing way that P3D reclaims VAS I'm now back at 750kb available.

It's all about managing expectations and settings. In FSX I would probably have saved and reloaded the flight when getting that low on VAS, but with P3D I'm confident that I'll recover.

  9. ... because I would expect demand to easily drop to a fourth or a fifth of the demand if prices are set north of 100 dollars compared to a pricing point below 50 dollars. In this case a price in excess of 100 dollars would make absolutely no sense...  but I think most developers invest insufficient time to understand these things...

It would seem that Robert Randazzo has done his homework since he's been moving loads of 777's at a price of 135 dollars (+ another 30 if you also want the 300ER) :-)
