  1. 1) Correct!2) The small plus sign is on panels that have a built in backlight. It marks the location of the ground and in the real AC can be pushed to reset a faulty connection.3) When a toilet is flushed there can be up to a 300 fpm pressure fluctuation. If the flush valve gets stuck you can get continuous cabin pressure loss. You then have to manualy close the toilet shutoff value (located on the lower part of the toilet shroud).Harry
  2. The link to the MRG site is:http://www.b737mrg.net/Good free stuff up there including a slide show of a 737 walk around pointing out all the things to check.Harry Gentilozzi
  3. I bought Pat Boone's Management Reference Guide for the Boeing 737 NG the other day. It is a very interesting read. It is meant for actual pilots and is relatively expensive for just us sim guys but having more money than sense I bought it anyway. It is 300+ pages of notes taken by real 737 drivers put together as short sequences on all the systems. I won't attempt to describe everything that is in there but a few items I found: 1) Why there are 4 light grey panels on the overhead panel 2) What the little white plus (+) sign means on any of the panels. 3) What you do if the toilet flush valve is jammed open. 4) Turning off the battery with external AC power connected puts the air/ground sensor in air mode and can damage the static inverter. Each section gives reference to the proper manuals such as FCOM, NNCs, and MELs. I am sure all this information is in all the manuals. It is how he ties it together that makes it fascinating. 4. Not to trivialize the bug, it can be a pain, but I find problems like this interesting. This beast is so automated that when something like this pops up it's a perfect opportunity to take control of the aircraft and return it to stable flight. Call it a simulated panic attack.Bug or not, I am sure this can happen in the real world and the pilot would have to deal with it.I seem to remember an airline flight many years ago where the AP commanded a roll to 90 degrees and then kicked off. I would have loved to hear the cockpit voice recording of that event ... Cpt - What the .... FO - Mommy ... Cpt - got it.Harry Gentilozzi
  5. Did you have the APU running and its generator online before disconnecting ground power? Without the APU generator connected you would lose all those items. Harry
  6. I had what I assume is the same problem after I installed the latest Duke update. After the install the RXP 530 unit in all my planes no longer worked. The same symptoms as yours. I had to deinstall and reinstall RXP and then it started working again.

    Time

    >Hence if I move to the Atlanta airport the time jumps +3 hours. I mean +4 hoursHarry

    Time

ChuckIt must be just you and I that have this problem. When I start FS in the Create screen, the local and GMT times are proper for my time zone (eastern). The airport is defaulted to Seattle. Somehow FS is thinking that my local time (EST) is Seattle's local time (PST). Hence if I move to the Atlanta airport the time jumps +3 hours. If you change the airport to a local one in your default situation this problem goes away (or at least it did for me).CheersHarry
  9. I know I should just let this go. But I can't.I am sure everyone in Amersterdam, Berlin, Mumbai, and Wellington are at home splitting the atom as we speak.Do you really want to contend that all americans are so stupid that they don't know the seasons are different in the southern hemisphere just because one man does not?Are you just rude or are you that ignorant. From another dumb americanHarry Gentilozzi
  10. JohnI have to defend Ernie on this one. I just re-installed FSBuild and I thought I had problems with my key. Ernie responded the next day and gave me the correct key. No hassles.Regards,Harry Gentilozzi
  11. TonyI saw some specs on that particular HUD the other day. I don't see a big problem to make that one. I have a few other projects on my plate at the moment. But when you think you have a solid PNL and AMP file I can hook into then send me an email at hgentilozzi@mindspring.com Anything to get another plane in the stable!Harry
  12. TonyThe HUD has to be fitted to a particular aircraft because the connections to the heading bug and nav radios need to be soft coded. These are used to control the NAV/LOV/GS sliders for navigation and ILS aproaches. It could be made general if you wanted to drop these features but it looks like ROTW has that covered with their HUD.If there is an aircraft you would like it added to let me know. I could do that fairly quickly.Harry
  13. LaurentMaybe its just a bug in FLY. I have never been able to figure out the method that FLY uses to call DeleteObject. It obviously waits until the object is not needed. But I tink it also has a time componenet to it. In my case I flew from Cincinnati (where I had the smokestack) to Richmond which is about 350 miles and I was about 40 minutes into the flight when the problem occrued. Harry
  14. Alejandro I am sorry. That was rude of me. I did get your message. I left town before I got a chance to reply and then I just forgot. I get about 60 emails a day and once it comes off the front page I lose track.Harry
  15. LaurentThanks! I think I'll wait for V2 before attempting any new smoke of my own. I did notice that the DLL got a fatal error after I flew away from the object about 200 miles. It got a fatal error in the DestroyObject call of the DLL. This usually only happens when you attempt to free an object that has not been allocated. Any ideas?Harry
