  1. Hi all:Just read the post stating that no wing view will be included. Bummer! I really missed them in the T7. Is it a technical issue related to performace, or what is the reason for not including them. I am sure a lot of us enjoy them! Nothing like flying an approach and then re-playing it and watching it from a wing view! I have included a couple of images...Don't these shots get your flying juices going?PSS, any chance you would re-consider including them in the 757?Thanks.Fabio van Roon
  2. Hi Paul:That did it! I had the avionics button on, but not the battery in my default Cessna startup plane. I thought I had tried that combination, but I guess I had missed it.Thanks for your help.Fabio
  3. Norman and Mervyn:Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, I don't have an ILS signal to follow (no "needles"). Even without the signal, I tried to hit the LOC and eventually the APP buttons without any luck. Also, I tried to manually set the frequencies since it was not auto-tuning. I will take a few screenshots tonight an post them. I am sure it must be "user error" at this point.Norman, what are your FS default startup plane settings? Thanks again,Fabio
  4. Hi all:Here is what I have done so far:1. Read quite a few threads regarding this issue. I have set my Cessna as my default FS load aircraft with all combination of avionics and battery (etc..) switch settings prior to loading the 777. 2. I was remaining in the KORD area, performing the following flight:KORD/KORDLegs: OBK, and the Willa. Upon heading to WILLA, I select the ARR/DEP, and selected 27R for landing. I then went to the NAV/RAD page and verified the frequency (110.5). I saw it was PARKED, and then I clicked twice on the LSK. This seemed to turn the tuning to manual (m next to the freq.).Basically the ILS won't tune. I repeated this several times with different intercept angles to no avail. I also selected 27L, also without any luck.I then tought that the KORD/KORD was throwing the CDU off, so I performed the following flight:KORD/KGRRLegs: OBK, GRRDeparted 32L, and selected 8R as the landing runway at KGRR. I came in pretty much on a long straight in (>40 miles), and same thing, the ILS won't tune, even though the frequency is correct. At this point, I am not sure what else to try. This is reminding me of the problem I had with the Concorde where I couldn't tune radios after 10 minutes into flight prep or taxiing. It has been in the hangar ever since.Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.PSS, is this considered a bug at this point? I didn't see it mentioned in any "sticky" posts.Thanks.Fabio van Roon
  5. I have tried numerous startup situations with no luck. The problem still creeps up. Unfortunately, I have "shelved" this wonderful product until there is a fix. It is too frustrating to setup a whole flight only not to be able to even perform a takeoff.I have duplicated the problem in my laptop, and I would glad "show it" to someone from PSS (since they haven't been able to re-create it).Cheers.Fabio
  6. Hi Peter:I am experiencing the same problem. I was only able to complete the tutorial flight. Since then, I am trying to complete a KJFK - EGLL flight without success.Yesterday, after several unsuccessful attempts, I loaded the tutorial situation that puts you ready for take off at 27L and had a great flight (tutorial again). At least I got to enjoy the flight. If I do takeoff with the NAV setting problem, the autopilot does not work at all. Could you check if the same is happening to you?One thing I am going to try is to set my default Cessna flight with brakes "off." On the tutorial (page 18), it asks you to set the brakes before setting the Ground Power switch to Close.Good luck.Fabio
  7. Hi all:I was able to complete a picture perfect LFPG - KJFK tutorial (and did not save any flights during it). Since then I haven't been able to complete any other flights. Here is some information:1. Using FSUIPC 3.411 (battery forvever set)2. FS Real World weather3. Windows XP (latest patch)Symptoms:1. Sometime duing pre-flight, cannot set any NAVs or ADFs (hear the clicks). I can set it in FSNavigator, which will change the frequency in the panel, but NAV does not come alive. The needle won't move (as if it is not detecting the station).2. After takeoff, the autopilot is not responsive. AT1 won't acquire 400 kts, INS (does not couple with FSNavigator), and FL260 is not acquired. Even though all switches and lights are correct, there is no input from the autopilot.Questions:1. Does the VFE start working during pre-flight (if you switch him on obviously)? It seems that even though I have cold/dark cockpit settings, I am finding some switches on (when they were off for my first tutorial flight)Thanks in advance for your help.Fabio van Roon
  8. John and PSS Team:First, thank you again for a wonderful product. You guys outdid yourselves this time! I flew the 1st tutorial flight yesterday (LFPG - KJFK) without a hitch! The effects on the engines when the reheaters are on is amazing. The panels are also incredidle, and I like solution you guys implemented for "panel" navigation/viewing. My first flight ended with a perfect Autoland at 31L (vapor effect over the wings).Today I was planning on a flight from KJFK on Speedbird 1 (no vc) and experienced the "Setting NAV1, 2, ADF etc problem." Here is what I can add:1. My flight prep took 3 hours due to interruptions (I hit pause several times).2. FSUIPC 3.411 (battery forever selected)3. Even though I set my cockpit to cold and dark, I found some of the pumps/stuff on. Does the VFE also work during pre-flight?4. Upon taxi (maybe before) could not set NAVs and ADFs (heard the clicks)5. I did open the ATC window to request 31L for progressive instructions (yes I am wimp). ATC was not responding though. Could not get ATIS through FS ATC.6. Upon take off, autopilot was not responding accordingly (AT1 was working, but could not hold heading and altitude). Was using FSNavigator coupling. Had to abort trip and perform a manual landing back on 31L (without ILS), which was cool! :)Anyway, hope this helps. Thanks again for a gem of a product.Fabio van Roon
  9. Hi PMDG:Thanks for such a wonderful product! Any chance you guys could include a "pause at top of decent" or "pause X miles from destination" feature? I know some of you may argue that it's not realistic, but some of us get interrupted during flights (kids, spouse, work, etc...).Thanks again!Fabio
  10. Hi:Are you starting Flight Simulator with the A320? Make sure that your default flight/situation is saved with a Fight Simulator airplance (like the Cessna). After loading/starting, then make the switch to the A320. I do that with all my add-on aircraft.Happy flying!Fabio
  11. Dennis:I could be wrong, but there is no connection between the Flap/trim settings in the FMGS and the actual aircrat trim (I would have to ask somebody from Phoenix Sim.). I have mapped the trim to buttons in my joystick. Otherwise, make sure NUM LOCK is on, and use the "1" (up) and "7" (down) keys on the numeric pad for setting trim. On the main panel, click the FLT CTL button to see what the trim settings are.Hope this helps.Fabio
  12. Dennis:Before the takeoff run, make sure you setting enough "up" trim. I find that 2.0 is working well (I don't know what is used in the real world, which varies with configuration and weight).Fabio
  13. Hi all:I am a new to this forum, and I would like to congratulate PMDG on a wonderful product (I have owned it for about a week). I am able to complete short flights, but for some reason, longer flights are a problem. I have repeatedly tried to complete a KORD - TNCA (Aruba) flight, and I consistently get a FS crash (send report to MS or don't send screen) around KMIA. I have completed the same flight plan with other aircraft without any problems.Any ideas as to where I should start looking? I have a registered version of FSUIPC with extended battery checked. Thanks in advance.Fabio
