What happened to Transload Airlines
Hello. I am the Vice CEO for Transload Airlines (Trans_23). You are correct that Transload Virtual has been quiet of the past couple of years now. The main reason for this has been the lack of participation and interest of the core members of the VA. We have always had a large roster of pilots, but out of those, only a small group of those were ever active on the forums and participated in group flights on our flight servers. The flight routes listed on the website have been the same for years for members new to Flight Simulator to fly. Our group is mostly about online multiplayer flights of which were posted on the forum. I have a huge data base of these flights saved on my computer and the more interesting flights are re-visited from time to time. Our CEO has been largely disconnected from flight simming for quite a few years now as he has a home construction business that requires most of his time. He was the main reason Transload was so active for many years. I am actually surprised he has kept paying the bills for the servers and forum for this long. I tried to pick up the slack in his absence but just don't have the time to sit at the computer for hours at a time to review applications for new members, then send out responses and then add names to the roster only to have these members not participate as active members in the VA. Anyone that has ever tried to operate a Virtual Airline will know that it takes a lot of work to maintain interest and keep everything updated. Especially for one person. As far as the fleet of aircraft are concerned, one of the other hats I wear for the VA is the fleet manager. In years past the CEO contracted with Garry Smith to paint aircraft that members wanted to see in the fleet. He didn't want a standard texture for all the planes. Thus, we have a bit of a "rainbow" of colors between the different aircraft. After learning a bit about painting aircraft textures in the past few years I decided to start upgrading models and applying a standardized texture starting with the larger commercial planes. I have also done a couple of planes in our "Connect" fleet. Unfortunately, it has been quite some time since I have picked up a virtual paint brush to continue the process. As was stated, Transload was never about a lot of structure. In fact it was more of a social club for flight simmers and it worked for a very long time. In fact, this is the 10th year that Transload has been in existence. There are plenty of structured VAs for people that enjoy that. I can't even imagine the work that must go into that by the people who run them. I can't really say what the future holds for Transload Airlines. Whatever happens, we had a good run for a very long time and it was fun. I have made some lifelong friends in the process so I will never consider it a failure. Kinds Regards, Dan Jones

Ditto lgvpilot1. The window dirt is a little heavy. Good job though!

Repaints without A paintKit?
Paint kits are nice but if you can find blank textures for a model that will work too. If there are no blank textures you will need to find an existing paint that is mostly white and use PSP to get it back to all white then start your repaint. I am surprised your payware doesn't have paint kits available. I thought most provided them. If I may ask, what models do you want to paint. If others are like me I try to save all my blank textures, if I have to create them, for future projects. You might get lucky and find someone on here that will send you some.

UA 977 Dubai to Washington DC Direct
You just racked up more mileage plus miles on that trip than I had in the last 10 years.

Fly Tampa Freeware
Must be your system. It is some of the best scenery Fly Tampa has done and is well worth the purchase if you fly in that area. The interior s of the terminal are also modeled. I flew through them last night so I know. :(

Garry Smith
http://www.gjsmith.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=289I know times are tough for most but if you can donate something, the Flight Simulator community would be better off with Garry still in business.

Runway info gauge
Thanks for the reply. I had the Runway info gauge in the gauges folder already and have the data files plastered all over the place to find something that will work. I still get a "Create Dialog, error x715" message box that pops up behind the panel and locks up Flight Simulator until I close it. I have no idea what to try next. Thanks again for your input.Dan

Runway info gauge
I have been trying to get the Runway Info Guage to work on a few of my panels. When I click on the switch I just get a small box (in the backgound that say "dialog". I have installed the runway and airport data in the same folder as the fs9.cfg file (documents and settingsusernameapplication datamicrosoftfs9) among other folders to try to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated!
