  1. Hey! Another question to me is....When I changed some data in the FS9.CFG, and I save the file afterwords, then it happens that the remarks for my own information, and which I placed after // on the same line as I've changed something, then the // and the remarks are no more there after a run of FS9 and then re-opening the FS9.CFG file.I've seen however that it must be possible to keep the remarks in the file...How can I do this?GreetzJive1
  2. Hey! Jim,Thank you for this reply.I'm trying to make me a little program where I can, before starting FS, define some settings, and possibly also add some other stuff, like flightplan, aircraft data, and so on....I'm just playing a bit with Visual Basic, in an effort to learn how to program things...GreetzJive1
  3. Hey!I wonder where in the FS9.CFG, or any other in notepad readable file, the data are stored about the location where a flight is supposed to start. What I mean is: where are the data showing in which airport, at which parking plae, and with wich heading which aircraft stays, when FS9 starts...OK! When FS9 is opened, one has to determine onesleves at which airport etc one likes to start, but after all, it must be stored somewhere in a file. Somewhere in a file this information must have been kept?....Can anybody tell me where to find these data?GreetzJive1
  4. Hey!I'm learning....How do I start a new project in SceneGenX, just scenery, no airport...I want to design a non airport area, adding textured fields and ways and highway and so on....When I start SceneGenX, meaning a new project, I don't see in the Menu any possibility to start without first having specified an airport... Just starting from scratch and building a landscape. Some advises?GreetzJive1
  5. Hey!How can I build waypoints in AI flightplans?I want my aircraft change direction and/or height during the AI flight. Is there a possibility, I guess it is possibk-le with Afcad files, but how to create such a file? When I try to create such file, the aircraft first open landing gear and then just disappears...What should I do?GreetzJive1

  7. Hey all!I'm rather new in the mesh forum....I've seen nevertheless the importance of mesh files in flight simulator, but I'm somewhat confused with various specs of mesh files: what are the main specs that I should take care of when looking for good mesh files?I've visited the Simviation site and found some mesh files for almost the whole world on http://www.simviation.com/fsdterrainsrtm.htm ...I tried the one that covers Belgium and found no inconveniences nor errors...My question is now: why should I go elswhere and search for mesh if here the files for almost the whole "flown" territory are available? Or is the quality of these files not the best?GreetzJive1
  8. Since I was not familiar with the Avsim Forum, I had already put my problem into the Simflight Forum under http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=30446 and at last somebody suggested me to put my question to a scenery builder in the Avsim Forum! In fact my question is: is there a utility which can visualize the area covered by a scenery bgl-file, i.e. the same data as produced by the program locbgl ( see http://www.scenery.org/_downloads/locbgl.zip ), but visually as a square or rectangle on a map ( does not need to bee extremely detailed map ) , but so that I nevertheless can clearly see in which area of a landscape the objects of a scenery file, and/or of several scenery files are really placed? Thank you for any reaction!GreetzJive1
