  1. Hey! They are all hidden from the menu to select aircraft. But -never mind, it's OK, I can live with that long loading time... Greetz Jive1
  2. Hey! Is there any possibility.... I fly FS9 since many years and now under Windows 7, and I presently have, appart from the Original standard default aircraft, approx. 950 aircraft folders in the default aircraft folder, and each aircraft folder, most of them are MAIW and/or WOAI folders each aircraft folder may have as an average 10-20 aircraft ( = different paintings, different airplanes ) which may give me a total of 10.000 or even more aircraft in my FS9 system, that all fly according to the supplied Flightplans. By the way, this works fine, no problem with the amount of aircraft.... There is only something of which I think there can be a solution to solve the waiting time.... Starting FS9, indeed it takes each time on my system approx. 4-5 minutes, which in se is not a big problem, I can live with that. But!.... And I know that this loading time comes mainly from loading the aircraft data. It would be more comfortable to me if that loading time could be shortened.... So there comes my question... Is there a possibility to keep the datafile, where all these aircraft are loaded in, and which was loaded previous time when I started FS9, to keep these data in a cachefile, and which will then be used on every new start of FS9, so that loading all these aircraft should not be done that extensively long, and could possibly take only a fraction of the original loading time?.... I guess there must be pilots who have similar situations and they may possibly have a solution for shortening that loading time? Greetings. Jive1
  3. Hey! How and why can this happen?.... I fly with FS9 since almost the beginning of FS2004, and never had problems with this.... With several different aircrafts the autopilot does not word. They are aircrafts that normally have autopilot, but since this morning that autopilot seems not te function.... Eighter when I use FSNav and on the map I point where the plane has to fly to, it does not, nor does it fly a plan that I make active. Why could that be? Greetz Jive1
  4. Hey! I've found the set of B-52 Stratofortress's made bij Mike Pearson. Fantastic! Now I'm looking for AI flightplans for these fantastic aircraft... Anyone knows where to find? Greetz Jive1 Belgium
  5. Hey! I recently had an unexpected problem with the contrails in FS2004, and it still is. I was installing some AI packages of the MAIW series, and I stated that the contrails have changed in a complete unrealistic size. See the attached picture. I really don't know why, when or by which AI-package it happened. It must have happened by installing these MAIW packages, because before installing the packages it was all right! I've been trying to correct the contrails by re-installing the original fx-files, but I could not make any improvement anymore... Is there anybody who knows how to fix the contrails? Greetz Jive1 Hey! I try here to re-upload the picture
  6. Hey! I have a Carenado Piper PA-32 Saratoga for FS9, which I use to make some flights in FS9. Now, I recently found a 'CarPA32_OO-RAG' repaint for this aircraft, and I want to use this as an AI-variation and make it fly via Ttools. I tried everything that I know to make it AI aircraft but I cannot make it fly. I did all the things necessary to compile the traffic-file, but it never shows up... The traffic file is OK, because there are over 50 aircraft in it, and all fly well, except this Piper.... Has anyone better experiece with the Carenado Piper PA32 as an AI aircraft? What can I have done wrong? Greetz Jive1
  7. Hey! Thank you Kiwifklyer45, I have the Hunter from John Young, but I have been looking specially for the red coloured Belgian Red Devils Hunter, and Alphasim seems to be the only who have that version. Unfortunately, when using same as an AI aircraft, all kinds of strange things happen with it, but no correct flying and no good landing on the planned airport.... So I tried also all air-files that I could fingd of other Hunters, but I found no one that is acceptable as a good air-file. It is that shaking that bodders me, and when I found a stable flying air-file it seems not to be able to find the airport planned for landing.... So, I hope somebody can advise me how/where to find a good working air-file for Alphasim's Hawker Hunter for FS9. Greetz Jive1
  8. Hey! Does anybody know where I can find an air-file for AI flights for this beautiful aircraft? Greetz Jive1
  9. Hey! My experience in this respect is.... 1° If the addon runway happens to be somewhat lower height than the stock airport runway, you can see sometimes both runways both in FSNav Map and as well as in FS9. I then make a flatten file on the height of the addon runway, and then the stock runway desappears? Why?... I don't know. 2° If the reference point of the addon runway is too far away from the reference point of the stock airport, sometimes the same happens. Just move the reference point of the addon airport towards the reference point of the stock airport, and there you get the correction. These are two cases that I experienced, don't ask me for an explanation why this is so... Greetz Jive1
  10. Hey! No problems here at my place with FS9, that 320.18 driver seems OK to me. Greetz Jive1
  11. Hey Clutch Cargo, Maybe you missed part of the discussiob above... The problem is tha when I start an intercontinental flight I will have too many lines in the scenery.cfg file, or midway I have to switch from one to another scenery.cdf file. You should know that, once the number of lines in the scenery.cfg gets too high, with eighter activated or non activated sceneries, and that can be different from one to another computer, according to the possibilities of same, there happen memory errors so that FS9 runs unstable. Therefore I want an easy system to generate a scenery.cfg file with the least possible lines in it. And with a system like described above I would be able to every time make a highly affective scenery.cfg file with few lines. The labor intensity what you mention is not through, because, of course, the original bgl's of a clean FS9 would almost always be in column 1 and also in column 2, as well as world mesh files, LC files, roads ans water files etc, I would only have to switch some specific addon sceneries before generating the scenery.cfg file and placing it in FS9 main folder, eacht time before a new flight... Not so labor intensive I think! Greetz Jive1
  12. Hey! Hgschnell, The first time that problems arose with too big a senery.cfg file was when I had somewhat over 2000 lines. Other simmers told me that they had same problems but already earlier than after 2000 lines, mayby 1500 or less. From that day I decided to make different scenery.cfg files for each continent, and that worked fine. I have now 8 files. The only ennoying problem was that I sometimes missed when switching the files, and worse, sometimes I lost the whole file when overwriting it bi another one. To avoid future problems I want to find a better system, so that I don't have to switch every time when I make intercontinental flights. Or even, because my European scenery.cfg is now almost 1000 lines, and maybe I will soon have more. I want to have a system that is as said above "more comfortable" than what I have now. And indeed the best idea that I met with is what we talked about here, and I will repeat what I have in mind now: The program should be capable to manage scenery.cfg files almost automatically, and as follows: - in a first column there wil be a list of all scenery folders well named and that can be shoosen for use in FS9 - to a second column eighter by mouse dragging or pointing and clicking one can drag/move/copy those scenery files that are needed for the next flight. - a third column should show the newly generated scenery.cfg file after clicking an extra button, and in that file sorting the lines is still possible before ... - with an extra button the command is given to place that new scenery.cfg file in the FS9 main folder as required, overwriting the existent one. I would enjoy if I could have a program like that. I myself cannot make such a program, but maybe you or other simmers can... Greetz jive1
  13. Hey! Hgschnell, What you say is correct, and I know, but... The scenery.cfg should be as short as possible, with no "inactive" lines if possible. Inactive lines make that file uselessly bigger. And with a system as previously explained, one can at every time before the start of a new flight shorten that file by only, and on a very comfortable way, editing the "necessary" active sceneries. The chance for memory errors becomes so small then, and FS9 will run stable... That is at least what I was saying. But mainly for me it is a question of not having to modify the scenery.cfg every time before an new transatlantic flight, because the systen I use now gives me e.g. for Wetsren Europe a scenery.cfg of almost 1000 lines, and that is not all, because if I want to fly from Europe to say Atlanta, I have to add also a lot of American sceneries, my scenery.cfg of USA is presently 800 lines, but wil become bigger. But already now my FS9 system can no longer support 1800 lines, and that is why I must somewhere over the Atlantic stop my flight, reload the other scenery.cfg en restart my flight... And that is not so amusing anymore. So I thought if we could do as axplained for the fscfg editor, we would no longer have to stop over the Atlantic.... Greetz Jive1 Hey! You are right, a scenery file should not necessarily reside in the Addon scenery folder. But let us then the first column of the editor as axplained, design so, that one can put any scenery file in there, even when they are on another drive or in the main folder of FS9 like some scenerymakers prefer it. As long as we can point and copy every scenery folder to the second column, it will be OK. It should of course be possible to also have these sceneries in the sccfg file, and mention them in the third column, where one could first sort the files before clicking the button that edits and places the scenery.cfg in het FS9 main folder.... Greetz Jive1
  14. Hey! I'm affraid that neighter ModelconverterX is able to convert complete FSX-sceneries to FS9-types.... Pitty! Greetz Jive1
  15. Hey! GeyerH, Indeed, that is what we need... A scenery.cfg editor showing in a first column all scenery folders of the Addon scenery folder, with a second column whereto one can add those sceneries that one needs for the next flight, and in a third column, with a button activating the editor that composes the new scenery.cfg file according to what sceneries have been added in the second column, and so that one can see what is in the ewly generated scenery.cfg and what is not. At last there should be a button that when clicking it puts the new scenery.cfg file on the right place in FS9. This makes it very easy, comfortable, on condition that all scenery folders in the Addon scenery folder are sorted according e.g. continent, country, region, city, etc, to edit a new scenery.cfg file each time that only has very few lines in it, what guarantees the lessest possible errors... You were right GeyerH, but since I am a neighbor of yours living in Belgium and speaking Flemish, my English being poor, I could not explain it from the first time.... Greetz Jive1 to use any scenery.cfg file
  16. Hey! Sorting the sceneries is not a problem, I can do that in FSNav... or in other programs. The problem is that, once you get about 2000 scenery folders or more, depending on your whole system, the system tells you that there is no more room for more, wether activated or non activated sceneries.... That is the reason why I had to make several scenery.cfg files.... Greetz Jive1
  17. Hey! Thank you guys! First of all I ever tried fs-scenery config editor once, but at that time I thought that I could not use it for my purposes, but I will again try it.... Surely when I know that it works for FS9 as well. Problem maybe?... Will I be able to install with Windows7? Enabling different scenery configs during flight of course is only possible when stopping FS9, change scenery.cfg and restarting FS9 on the spot where you were arrived at the stop, so continuing previous flight. And even when you think it does not work, I can say it works, but it is ennoying. What GeyerH says is very interesting... But it is rather extensive... I will certainly take it to study a bit, and I will later return on the subject.... Thank you anyway for trying to help! Greetz Jive1
  18. Hey! Good day! I've triedFSX2FS9... I think that this program is only for converting Afcad files from FSX-type to FS9-type? And that is not what I was looking for. I can make Afcads myself "if"... If I have a good scenery! And the thing is that I don't have a good scenery of Tokelau in FS9-type. I've tried to convert some FSX-files to FS9, but with the program I could only convert Afcad-files.... Pity! Greetz Jive1
  19. Hey! Since many years I have been collecting sceneries of all countries, and I installed these in my FS9. I can say that I have many beautifull airports and regions in my FS9. That is what I did over almost 10 years. At one time I got from my FS9 the messsage that I could not install any more sceneries because the memory did no longer accept more. That was whel I had somewhat over 2000 sceneries installed. That was the end at that time. Then I started to make different scenery.cfg files, separate ones for each continent, and that was a good solution at that time. I had 8 different scenery.cfg files. Flying from one to another continent however made me stop that flight when I was midway, somewhere over an ocean or over a no-mans-land, I stopped the flight, changed one to another scenery.cfg file, as well as my moving map ( PLAN-G ) settings on a second pc, and continued the flight towards the planned arrival airport. But these 8 differend scenery.cfg files give me from time to time real troubles, especially when I had forgotten to adapt things. I want to change that, but I don't know how I can do better and also easier.... My problem to me is, always having to change settings during the flight, it makes flying less realistic, whereas every decent flightsimmer searches for more reality in his flights... Is there anyone who can give me good advise on how to organize my transatlantic flights without having to stop midway and change my scenery.cfg file, each time risking to forget things and having to redo the whole stop and change.... I have now over 3500 scenery folders in my FS9, and the air is full of WOAI and MAIW aircraft and I want to keep them all directly available for when I have to change my flight, and so that I don't have to change settings... You know, many of these sceneries installed made me also modify the original default scenery files and after some time there are so many modifications inside FS9 that I cannot even remember why I had to make these.... My FS9 became since that time so crowded that to make no mistakes when modifying something this became really not realistic anymore.... In fact, I became somewhat tired of all these chances of making mistakes, and I do sometimes, allthough I want continue flying my FS9 and I want that my FS9 world becomes still better and more realistic... So... I have a problem! Any advise on how to proceed whit better and easier organisation of FS9 is welcome. Greetz Jive1
  20. Hey! I was searching for a scenery for FS9 of Tokelau and its atolls. I did find one for FSX, but not for FS9, and I cannot convert that scenery for FS9. Who can give me a hint where to find such a scenery for FS9? Greetz Jive1
  21. Hey! Is it possible to connect FS9 on one computer to a second computer, in order to run on the second computer a supplementary program simultaneously with the working FS9 on the first computer? Ik want to try to run on the second computer a moving map program showing the position where the aircraft in FS9 is flying.... Please inform how this could be possible? Regards Jive1
  22. Hey! Meanwhile, I have all sceney.cfg files ready.... Oh boy! That is not easy to work with, because each time that a new area is added, one has to save that file... and! Is there a sort of program to keep all these cfg-files as they should be, and updated each time but saved under the right name....You know I have now, eight cfg-files for eight areas, but each time saving and renaming and updating one of these files, it aks for a complicated arganisation where missing is always possible..... Is there someone who has a spcific system to not make mistakes in all that different files? Please inform me.... Greetz Jive1
  23. Indeed, Indeeed there was still my Oldscenery.cfg file in the default folder of FS9. So, I took it away, and now.. I'm ready with North America ( = 1 scenery.cfg ) and with Cetral America + Caraibic ( = second scenery.cfg ) and they work fine! So now I'm in the process of making some other scenery.cfg files, one for South America plus Antarctic Area, one for Europe, one for Russia and Siberia, one for South Asia, and one for Oceania. Thanks for all the help! Greetz Jive1
  24. Hey! I encountered a new problem..... When making different scenery.cfg files, I was ready with one file with only my North America extra sceneries and the main general areas inside. There were at that moment only 257 areas in it. I replaced the original sscenery?cfg file with that new ons, but FS9 did not start, instead I got the same message of too many sections..... What happened now? Greetz Jive1
