Do you see the activation window appear that allows you to enter your code? If not try running FSX in windowed mode, and you'll be able to access the activation window running behind. I had to do this to activate. I hope this helps. Regards Alan Springett

If you received a confirmation email, as I did, you may not see it as a link, (blue text) but as text embedded in the email. Just copy and paste it into your browser, you'll get to the login page at PMDG and you'll be good to go! it worked for me. good luck. Regards Alan Springett

Do you think changing the memory from what I have now to what I have suggested is a worthwhile move, as I read your report it prefers 2 sticks of memory, up to 8Gb? Also, what about Ivybridge as I am changing the M/board? I will consider the 680GPU. Thanks again. Alan

Hi all, looking for your help in deciding whether this upgrade will benefit FSX over what I am running now. I have numerous add-on's, including PMDG 737NGX, Aerosoft sceneries etc, all hard on the system! I average anywhere between 7 to 25 frames when locked to 25. Take a look at what I have now and what I'm looking to change in the hope of overclocking and gaining some performance increase. This system is just about 2 years old. I can only get my current system to overclock to 3.85Ghz max before it becomes unstable. Also, would the current memory suffice? Any reasonable suggestions of bits to change gladly received. Hi Gary, the announcement by email to all registered users, received in the last couple of day's, along with the feature on the front page of AVSIM today, was a bit mis-leading as this was a service pack that came out early December, so like you, I thought that another update had been released. Had the update been announced in the way it has today, when first released it wouldn't have led to this confusion. However, Robert did say that it was also a reminder to those that want to take advantage of the reduced price, which will be ending very soon, maybe tonight, if my memory serves me right. :( RegardsAlan Springett

Hi, I have a friend who has modified a "gamers" USB steering wheel into a steering tiller. He uses FS9 only, but I don't see why the same wouldn't work in FSX. He say's it makes a difference to steering on the ground and the initial part of the take-off role, as in real life, and is great fun.Alan Springett
