  1. I will be using my trusty old commodore 64 with Vista and FX10. End of story!:-beerchug
  2. There is a front page news item here at avsim regarding Bear's tribute to FS9. Hop over to the screenshot forum to see what he itemized as 20 helos he reckons are the best.Cheers!Graham
  3. Great comparison. Indeed, FSX is becoming more realistic in terms of its geophysical setup. The only difference is the tall buildings on the right.Graham
  4. Hi Taildragger and Pixelpoke,I am absorbing the Wow factor and feel of what FSX would look like from pictures and posts from various sites citing your team's stunning work.As I am excited as many are; would it be possibe to provide a constant stream of pictures (say on a monthly basis) leading up to the release date? You may want to consider posting a region (eg. continent, airport, country, etc) of the world per month with pictures of perhaps an aicraft or two. Apart from generating more excitement in the current FS community, it would be a good marketing strategy to expand the market base for new or potential users thru more pictures.I know there are nitpickers, naysayers, critics, etc out there in the FS community who may nitpick your work thus far, but believe me these are not the majority of MSFS die-hards who are enjoying the genre to the fullest.:-)Graham
  5. If using WinXP, do the following:Go to Start, then My Computer, then select "C" Drive, then Documents and Settings, then select User (usually your name), select Application Data, then Microsoft, then FS9 and look for FS9.CFG.Double click FS9.cfg to open, then scroll down to the line that has the following:"SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1".Type in "0" where "1" is at the end. This will get rid of the FS9's opening screen when you first start up.Hope this helps.Graham
  6. Now that we've seen and could expect a much improved texture and much more realistic gmax rendering in FSX, I certainly would not prefer to see VOD textures, airport textures and such from FS2000 being included in third party scenery addons. I have had terrible experiences with missing textures, duplicate textures, unwanted textures, etc messing up my FS9 setup. I believe these are contributing factors directly associated with disaapointing FPS on my system.I will definitely cease using these textures and reject any third party scenery containing these addons when FSX comes out from then on.Graham
  7. I am not literate in painting a/c. Could someone kindly paint the Level-D B7676-300 in Air Niugini (National Airline of Papua New Guinea) colors? Airliners.net should have the paint scheme there.Thanks.Graham
