Hi Dan! Thanks for your quick response. Yes I have the actual version of the T7. What I see when the problem occurs is that hdg, alt and speed are not controlled anymore while the autopilot lights (AP, VNAV, LNAV) still remain illuminated. I'm using FS Real Time for 2 Reasons: 1. It syncronises the system time with FSX 2. It fixes the time zone problem in FS (According to the program, there is a time zone bug in fs which occurs when travelling through time zones. It says that a flight can end up having a wrong local time at the destination) I will have a try without FS Real Time. It's not that easy to reproduce the problem because it occurs only temporary. Hi, I have a problem with the 777 which occurs temporary and i just want to know if someone else has it. The problem is that suddenly in flight the aircraft stops to hold course, speed and altitude. The Autopilot is still engaged, but it seems as it stopped to work. I opened a support ticket one year ago and the advice was to change CMOS battery to solve the problem. I tried it, but the problem was still there. I got a new computer but the problem still exists. I have one guess for a possible reason: FS Real Time. I'm using this program for a while now when flying through time zones. I'm using the program with other aircrafts like the 737ngx and the problem does not occur. I would appreciate any help to solve the problem. Thanks in advance! Chris

Hi, i have a strange FPS issue that i cannot solve by myself and i hope someone can help me. I reinstalled fsx because of some scenery problems and now the frames drop after using FSX for 20 to 30 seconds. I have a low to mid-end pc but i managed to get good fps with both the 737NGX and the 777 with moderate fsx settings. I use the vanetubu site for fsx.cfg tweaking and the fps limiter set to 30fps. When i start at fs dreamteam's klax with the 777 in virtual cockpit i get like 23-29 fps at the beginning. Everything is fluent. After 20-30 seconds the frames drop down and when i push the trottles fsx is lacking (almost down to 5 frames). And what never happend before is that the frames remain low even when in the air flying far away from the detailed airport. Does anybody have a clue what is causing this? Is maybe a certain tweak causing this? I wonder because the frames are high at the beginning and then they drop. Thanks in advance for your help! Chris

1600 is what i was aiming for aswell. It'S just hard to find the optimal timings described in Nick's post. (cl6) i found cl7-8-8-24.. Don't know if that is so much important.. No i have to decide wheather to take the 3770k or the 4770k. From the specs both have the same clock, same cache. The Internet says when it comes to overclocking the 4770k gets more hot which makes it harder to reach high clockings. Both cost almost the same. So i really wonder which one to take. Any experience ? Thanks guys! Chris

Hi ! Thanks for your reply! In wonder whether i shoukd take the 3770k or the newer 4770k. I want to overclock it anyways. And there was one arcticle on tomshardware which said that the performance difference is not that much and overclocking for the 4770k is more difficult than with the 3770k. Don't know what's right... One question that i couldn't answer is which memory to take. This simforum post says that latency is major to clock in terms of performance. But what is the best memory if i want to overclock the cpu to lets say 4,4 or 4,5 GHZ? Thank you in advance! Chris

Hi ! After four years i want to build a new pc for fsx and i wonder which config would be optimal to run it at high settings with PMDG ORBX and REX addons. I've read on the 777 product page that latest nvidia cards are recommended for best performance. I wonder about this, cause i always thought fsx can not profit from newer videocards. Am i wrong? Since the cpu is most important for good fsx performance, i wonder which one to choose. I'm thinking about the 3770k and to overclock it to 4,3 or some GHZ. Is there a better CPU with the same price/performance ratio? Thank you in advance ! Chris

Hi Jaime! Oh thanks for the warning! I plan to get a maximus z68 from asus which has a good cooling performance. I saw in tomshardware site that they put the 2600k to 4,7 ghz. The ram looks nice, will check the price. I think with the grapics i will have the 660gtx cause i don't think the performance will worth the money i have to pay for a 7 series card. will let you know. greetz chris

Oliver and james thanks for your reply! Yes i'm planning to get an 2600k and overclock it to around 4.5 ghz. I think i will take an 660 gtx card with 2gb of ram cause i don't think that using 4gb will iprove that much. One question regarding the ram. What Clock should i use for my overclocking plan. Is 1600 mhz enough? i thought about buying 2000mhz ram. How about the CL. I see that it's higher (cl9) than on my current ddr2 ram (5). Thanks Guys! Chris

Hi ! I'm using the 777 on my 5 Year old pc and it works good without a maxed out fsx. Now i'm thinking about a new pc and i wonder about the recommendation on the product site. It says newest graphic card gtx 7 series with 2gb+. A while ago i read in an forum that fsx doesnt profit from new graphic cars and that a 8800gts card would be enough. Does fsx and the 777 profit from new graphic card? Does it even profit from using 4gb of vram instead of 2gb? I thought about buyinga 660gtx with 2gb. Did somebody switch from a 6series card to a 7series card and experienced an performance inprovement? I also wonder about the ram recommentation, it says 8gb+. I thought that fsx can only use 4gb and thereby 8gb would be enough. Thanks in advance. Chris

Hi Rob! Thansk for your reply! I've already done it with the webinstaller but i get the same error. I'm using WIN7 64Bit and i wonder why i have to install direct x again since win 7 already has the dx11 onboard. Anyways, i get the same installation error during directx installation, no matter if i download the full executable oder the webinstaller. With this i cannot use the 777 cause when i load it in fsx no activation windows appears and no new gauges are loaded so i jsut see a dark cockpit. Does nobody have the same problem? Thanks Chris

Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. This ends up in the problem that the 777 does not work. I seached the internet for the problem and downloaded the dirext webinstaller which gives the same problem. Also the complete installer from JUn2010 gives the same problem. Oh ok. So if i want to fly pmdg i always have to use it within FSX? I even thought about buildung some kind of home cockpit but if the pmdg is not the basis i don't think i want to go for it. Project magenta isn't pmdg basis is it? Thanks Chris

Hi ! Yesterday i was flying in a highly detailed scenery using the cessna and i had brilliant fps. When i switched to the ngx my frames dropped as supposed. I asked myself if it is possible in general (future thoughts) to run fsx and the ngx on different systems since i've heard that some parts of the ngx are already running outside of the fsx. Oone of the leading developers of the vatsin client said that there will be an acars (CPDLC) inplementation in the new client and an interface for third party developers and those who are interestet should contact him. Is this an option for the PMDG Team to include it in their planes once upon a time?
