Must have hit a nerve!
Hi, FSNavNet has fallen victim for the second time since it's inception in January of this year to either a person or person's belonging to an organization hacking into, and wrecking the website. Two weeks ago the website's email system was hacked (as well as my personal email account attached to it) and a bunch of spam emails were sent out to people know using my website email account!! Between the hackers and the hosting companies incompentent handling of the situation, the site has been down for almost a day now and I'm not sure when It'll be back up. For those of you who've tried to access the site and got the default page, I appologize!! Keep checking back because it will be back up eventually!! Not to worry, the authorities have been notified and an investigation has been started into the matter. Hacking is a serious matter, and when the person or person's responsible are caught, I've been assured by the federal agency investigating the matter, that they will most definately be prosecuted!!! It amazes me at the extent people will go out of vengence!!! The staff here at AVSIM can atest to that!! It seems somebody or someBODIES have taken special intrest in FSNavNet and are determined to try to make it go away!!! MUST HAVE HIT A NERVE SOMEWHERE! My God, this is just a hobby, what's wrong with these people? Anyhow, again, I've been assured that this matter is most definately being investigated and the authorities have been furnished with a list of names, IP's URL's weblogs ect..... of the most likely suspects!!! And I won't have ANY second thoughts about prosecuting when the time comes, you can be on that!! Fsx Rain Effects Through Gmax
I need some help with rain effects I've created on a ship deck poly. I get the reflection I need by using the global environment option in Gmax, but I need to get the texture to darken when it's wet.{see pics} I've read the SDK, experimented with the Fresnal Ramp, Specular settings ect.. with no luck. Anyone give me any pointers?AJ

I downloaded GMAX source files of a CH-46, and I need some information on how to get the landing gear suspention to work in FSX. I need to know which parts to tag with what, The files came with the keyframe animations already done, so I just need to tag and export through the FSX SDK. The source files were authored by Rory Kelly.Thanks!AJ

Helo rotor and other animations
Hi,Thanks for your reply. I'll be using the helo in FSX, Acceleration to be exact. I use FS8,FS9,FSX, and Acceleration SDK's for my scenery work, {Of which I'm away from temporarily} and all of the source files I have of aircraft were developed with the FS9 gamepack. As we know, most FS9 aircraft do work in FSX, but since I have the source files, I'd rather just finish them for use in FSX.AJ

Helo rotor and other animations
Hi,Downloaded a helo source file for Gmax and I need help. Haven't done any aircraft, only scenry thus far, in Gmax so I need some pointers on getting this thing to work. I've got the main rotor anmation to work correctly, but the tail rotor doesn't spin at all. I also need any tips on how to get the main rotor to tilt, and pedals and stick animations. Is it all through naming conventions or do I need to "animate" these parts? The tail rotor is my main concern right now. Any info would be appreciated!! Thanks.AJ

ILS trouble!!!
The thing is is that most of the airports I fly to are Navy and Marine bases that I have to install ILS on, and so they wouldn't be in the that database listed in the manuel that you update from the web! In other words I fly to all custom airports. That's why I need to be able to be able to tune the NAV1 manuelly.AJ
