    Can´t install

Hi, I purchased my copy of the PMDG 777 last night and have tried to install today but unfortunately I keep getting this message. Wonder if anybody can help. Best regards, Antonio.
  2. Hi folks, besides being a die hard fan of flight simming and PMDG´s 747 in particular, I like to spend time in my other hobbies one of them being model building. I just thought I would share a picture of my latest project Qantas 747-400 with RR engines registration VH-OJL (aka Ballarat ). The model is Revell´s 1/144 British Airways´747-400. I made a few modifications including home made decals, leading edge slats and fully deployed flaps, modified gear in extended landing position, pitot tubes and extra antennas. I hope you like it. This is just a tribute to the Queen in one of my favorite liveries. Best wishes for the new year from Spain, Antonio.
  3. I doubt you will need any complex solutions to run FSX with such muscle power. I would install FSX with its up to SP2 then I would finetune my fsx.cfg through ******* Altuve´s free utility http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html and apply a frame rate limiter. That should put you in simulator heaven like you said. Best of luck, Antonio
  4. Sorry, missed your header. If you installed the hotfix then submit a ticket to customer support. Some people appear to have activation issues even after the hotfix. Regards and best of luck, Antonio.
  5. Definitely looks like an activation issue. Did you download the hotfix?
  6. Hi Richard, the system specs you posted should give you more than enough computer power to run the Queen in FSX without a glitch. Just to give you an indication and if you care to check my specs which are almost primitive as compared, I can run the Queen in FSX around 20 FPS with commercial scenery in normal complexity and autogen sparse which is more than enough for my needs. I also limit my AI and suffer a bit with complex weather. Otherwise I am pretty pleased. I use a frame rate limiter to 25 FPS max. It would be great if someone with your specs could give feedback. Regards, Antonio
  7. Hi ladies and gents. I, like many others in this forums, am positively impressed by the NGX to the point where I have found enjoyment in flightsimming again. In my opinion the real advantage of PMDG over the vast majority of developers is that their products, provided you have the proper hardware, are basically error free. I´m sure you have experienced a great deal of frustration with aircraft that never lived up to expectations or were just basically unfliyable. So the NGX steps in and it hasn´t been a single night were I haven´t fired up FSX. A big thank you to PMDG for their efforts. In my new second FS life I have decided however to undust another PMDG gem, namely the 747-400. I always thought this was the ultimate simulation and in many respects it stands as a formidable companion to NGX. I, however, have a little misgiving about the Queen. Having stepped into NGX´s VC has made me realize that the Queen´s VC appears somewhat rude and outdated. Textures are not as crisp, knobs and lighting are nowhere near as impressive as in the NGX. Now, don´t get me wrong, it still shines on it´s own but all those things to me look like they could be improved to NGX´s standards and it would be seven heaven since systems wise the Queen needs no further development IMHO. Now I am no developer and truly don´t grasp the efforts involved in undertaking such task but from a user´s point of view my impression is that a fresh VC in the Queen would not only do justice to this magnificent piece of software but it would also be a must have for all PMDG users and therefore a commercial success. Sorry for this long post and sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere else in the forums but this is just some wishful thinking in this make believe world that we all enjoy so much. Take care. Antonio
  8. Hi, thank you everyone for your replies. I have fixed the problem by setting FSX LOC CRS to OFF as you suggested. Everything works fine now.
  9. Hi everyone, I am experiencing problems tracking ILS 32R at KORD ( fsdreamteam scenery ). I am intercepting the localizer at less than 45 degrees and in the initial stages the NGX seems to center the localizer perfectly but after a few seconds ( before intercepting GS ) it begins to fly at about half a dot to the right of the localizer and proceeds this way for the rest of the approach. I have read in other posts that this might be related to a scenery database issue and that it could be fixed by using the registry repair tool available at flight1 website ( as suggested by Ryan ) but the problem is still there. This has only happened at the above mentioned scenery. The rest of the approaches I have tried so far have been flawless. Could anyone with the above mentioned scenery give it a try and see if they get the same result? Otherwise I am extremely pleased with this bird. It works wonderfully in my old machine and I have not had any performance issues with it. Congratulations PMDG! Best regards, Antonio.
  10. Hi Israel, could you please let us know where we can find update 2.1.00.000. It seems PMDG support only posts the newest version. Best regards and many thanks, Antonio
  11. >Hi,>>I had the same thing with AC (Active Camera) installed! You>have to dissable the head latency.>>HugoI had the exact same problem and managed to fix it by unticking the Internal View option in Active Camera. Regards, Antonio.
  12. Hello all my fellow flightsimmer. I hope you can help me with this one. I am a long time user of FS presently using FS9. I recently changed my graphics card from an Nvidia 7900GT to a 9600GT in the hopes of improving performance. This is not a problem with FPS. The problem is that for some odd reason image sharpness has been greatly reduced and FS9 seems to ignore all the changes in the graphic card settings. Whenever I set my antialiasing and anisotropic filtering options in my old card to 8x my images was crisp and very well defined. No matter what I do with my new card in terms of settings my images are full of jaggies and it is very annoying considering the fact that the new card should perform better. I have tried checking and unchecking the antialiasing option within the sim with no success. I have also tried all sorts of combinations in hardware settings even using the Nhancer utility also without success.Any help would be kindly appreciated. Thank you in advance.Regards, Antonio; Madrid, SpainMy Specs:Pentium D 3,2GHzAsus P5DL22Gb RAM DDR-2Nvidia 9600GT Matrox TripleHead2Go

    Help please

That would be a possibility since on autopilot mode and VNAV/LNAV the plane should fly your route.Anyway tryout this tutorial by Tim Metzinger. It really helped me out. http://www.simradar.com/File/2394/PMDG_737...ons_Manual.htmlGood luckAntonio
