  1. Congratulations. I've got an 18 year old and would swap him for an NGX in a second!! - joke:-)Richard
  2. What oh ladies,Before creating and running a virtual airline called 'Air Taxi UK virtual' I always assumed that virtual pilots were like me, a little strange and definately obsessive about new payware releases. Then I met a number of members of my VA at Shoreham airport (EGKA) and my opinion changed, Nigel, Mole, Russel and lots of other excellent people restored my faith in 'flight simmers'. Now I've just sat here for 45 minutes reading through this forum. Wow, my opinion of simmers is now back to thinking we're strange and especially obsessive!Back in the days when I was obsessive about FS I remember waiting for months on end for Flight1 to release their incredibly coveted ATR72. I used to check two websites twice weekly, AVSIM and Flight1. One afternoon I checked AVSIM but there was no news about the ATR, I then checked Flight1 to find it had still not been released. I sat there looking at the screen for a few minutes and before closing down the site I hit F5 to refresh the page and it had been released. The excitement I felt was totally out of all proportion but I remember that moment well. I can't imagine I will feel the same with this release as I'm too busy to do FS any longer but I've been keeping an eye out for this release in the hope I will get the same buzz as when the ATR was released!I'm not really into Flight Simulator any longer but will buy this aircraft when it is released just to see how things have progressed since the last version of PMDG's 737.CheerioRichard GeorgiouPPL EGKA
  3. Not a sinlge soul mentioned RSR feeling better :-( I hope you're feeling better RSR.My kindest regardsRichard
  4. Hi Awais,I have an iMac 27" with the i5 processor and run 16GB of ram, I use it for web design. I can run Windows 7 using either bootcamp or Virtualbox. I tried installing FSX on each one of them and found that not only does the performance suffer but also the compatibility with some add-ons is terrible. I have since then wiped FSX from my iMac and use it only on my PC.My very kindest regards and season's greetings,Richard Georgiou
  5. Nothing exacerbates negative emotions like a forum eh? What's the betting Robert had a big cheesy grin on his face when he posted his latest, I certainly did when I read it :-)Richard GeorgiouPatience, it's a virtue.
  6. In my experience the best part of purchasing something is usually the anticipation. I bought a nice new Aprilla RSV4 motorbike but before I purchased it I researched it, dribbled over photographs, drawled over specifications and dreamed about riding it. Now I've got it and it's good. BUT the anticipation was better. Enjoy the wait chaps ;-)My kindest regards and have a great week.Richard Georgiou
  7. Blimey, are you guys reading my thoughts?! I've just done that too! - LOLHappy flying!Richard Georgiou
  8. Funny enough I've just landed perfectly at 70% and it all went well. What a beautiful aircraft. The only issue I seem to be having at the moment is that the IAS hold in climb or descent doesn't seem to be working, but that's for another post.I think PMDG have done incredibly well with this aircraft, it's impossible to test for every combination of hardware so time will fix the odds and ends..Thanks CMRichard
  9. Hello fellow pilots,I'm used to flying, and mainly landing, in a 2D cockpit and am having some difficulty in adjusting to judging the landing correctly in the 3D because of the zoom level. When I fly the MD11 in 2D I have the zoom level set to 100% and I have gotten used to how it looks and can judge the landing perfectly. When flying the BAe in the VC I find that if I set the zoom level to 100% I am unable to see the instruments (mainly the rate of descent) so I have to set the zoom level to 60%. However changing this means my outside perspective is totally different and I have trouble judging the landing correctly. My question is can I change the zoom level for the cockpit independantly of the outside view?My kinders regardsRichard Georgiou.
  10. Hi People,I've just had to wipe my PC and can't seem to find my SaturnV file for FSbuild and MD11. Is it possible to send it to me too please? - richard(at)entity7.comKindest regardsRichard
  11. >I couldn't be bothered finding the aircraft again but I did>find these 2 links for you.>>http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/a...read.main/77810>>http://www.avsim.com/pages/0902/pt_again.html>>And I also want to ask, Ariane's 737's sure do LOOK pretty,>but have they captured all the systems functionality, or at>least, the majority of them, as in the PMDG 737 series?>>Enjoy.>Goran>Hi Goran,Thanks for the reply and the information, it was information I'd read before. I must say that this Peter chap does indeed sound like a nasty piece of work but saying the Ariane 737 is rubbish becuase he has something to do with it is just not true. I also get the feeling that the article was a little one sided. It condemns Peter for not having his phone number on the Ariane site. Wow - do any other developers have their personal numbers on their sites? The answer is no they don't.The PMDG 737 (NGX) will no doubt have all the systems in place as that's one of the things they are famous for, I've been using the Ariane 737 for quite some time now and have no complaints on their modelling of the aircrafts systes. To be honest the two aircraft are not really comparable as Ariane 737 only has a VC called VCe which can only be described as a VC on speed. The PMDG 737 (NGX) I would guess will be sticking to the normal 2D and VC approach. Assuming that they do these two aircraft will be so different that I can't see them competing at all.I do think it's such a shame that Peter's name is linked to the Ariane company as I feel Ariane deserve more. Kindest regardsRichard
  12. >It is?????>I've read up on that company and it's product. There is some>freeware that is better than ariane. >It's been proven that Ariane is owned by the infamous Peter>Tishma.>Not someone you want to be doing business with.>AOL email for support. And that is if you even get the>support.>There is another thread on this forum regarding Ariane.>Goran>I must say that I bought the Ariane 737 and had a few problems installing it. Support was excellent and came to my rescue more than once. When they found out that the problem was my stupidity they didn't kick up about it at all. True professionals and a truely fantastic 737. The VCe is superb! If you could point me towards the freeware that is better than the Ariane 737 with VCe. I'm yet to see a payware quality panel / VC that is reasonable let alone as good as the VCe that Ariane created.I look forward to hearing from you soon. Kindest regardsRichard
  13. >Hi, I get pretty poor fps compared to what I could be>getting; and the problem lies within the refresh rate of the>gauges.>>In PSS's A320 you can adjust it and I have the value set at 4>on that aircraft and I get smooth fps.>>Is there a simular thing I can do with Level D's 767?I recently upgraded my computer to a nice new one with super dooper 1GB DDR2, new 7800GTX256 etc etc.. the reason I upgraded from my last computer was becuase I had had enough of slow refresh rates on the panel of many aircraft.l this is one place where the LDS763 outstrips the competition. Nothing can touch the refresh rate of the LDS panel...I don't know if there's a way to change the refresh rate of the LDS panel but to be honest. when changing the rate on other aircraft it doesn't seem to make much different...My $0.02 worth...Best RegardsRichard
  14. Gggrrr. Signature not working!SorryRich
