  1. I purchased the 777 yesterday and I am seeing all the docs are available in the Ops Center, including FCOM 1+2, FCTM ,QRH, intro and Tutorial. Perhaps try reinstalling. Brad
  2. I was in the same boat, thanks to those before me and support for identifying the underlying issue. Brad Raulston
  3. I do miss that bird, but tonight flying KDEN-KORD in the 747 I hit turbulence and just watching the wing flex and experiencing the cockpit shake in VR it was pretty darn close to the real thing. Brad Raulston
  4. I'm a long time PMDG Customer who is just getting back into Siming after a long hiatus. My very first PMDG Product was the 747 back in 2005. Up until 2012, when I lost my spouse to cancer, I had purchased and enjoyed every PMDG aircraft, every 747 addon, MD-11, 737, 1900, JS41 etc. Coming back I purchased a new rig, Oculus and Prepar3d. And of course my first commercial addon was the 747 Qos II. I'm having a blast with this aircraft especially in VR. It feels like a long lost friendship renewed. I truly appreciate the attention to detail and the depth of modeling that PDMG has put into this aircraft and their continued dedication to accuracy and realism. I'm looking forward to the 747.8 and of course completing my stable with the other p3d addons from PDMG. Thank you and looking forward to the future. Brad Raulston
  5. I'm still waiting for the FD 5 patch that Abucus support stated in an email on 7/18/2008 was nearly ready. I for one will never give them another penny. There are way too many quality develpers to support :( Brad
  6. I've had the same problem with Vista x64 as well. I have installed the x64 C++ redist package with no luck. I was hoping the lastes MD-11 update would correct the problem but it didn't. The odd thing is that at least on my system if you cycle through the 2D panels in an exterior view, they work fine, in the VC they're either black or fail to update. I'm begining to suspect it is some combination of SW installed on the machine as I also have Visual Studio 2008 and SQL server 2008 Dev installed, but I'm not in a position to tear my machine apart to test this theroy.Brad Raulston
  7. Well I guess my experience has been different. First Windows 7 doesn't "write protect" the files, but you must have administrative privileges, aka UAC. So if you run the installer as an admin both the MD-11 and FSX will install and activate just fine. And as has been previously stated this is a beta one version, so there will be fit and functionality issues. This beta is far more stable and reliable than the vista beta one or longhorn beta one ever where. In addition is has a much smaller footprint memory wise, 64 bit Vista Ultimate on my quad with 4 GB ram is using 1.3 GB, Windows 7 same machine and software config is using around 400 MB ram. Again it is a beta and your experience may differ, but I'd suggest you learn Vista or a the very least read up on UAC before you pass judgment. No offense intended.Brad Raulston
  8. Is there an ETA on the update for the FSX version? It appears that those who purchased the bundle have the update, the rest of are still waiting. I for one still have issues with gauges on the 2D panel that I hope are addressed.ThanksBrad
  9. Yes, I've gotten several responses. Unforunately I'm still having the issue. Tried 4 uninstall -reinstalls, UAC, folder permissions and run as admin. No luck. Funny thing is all other addons run fine including the 747X.Brad
  10. 4 Uninstalls and reinstalls and sitll no 2D panel instruments, nothings moved from it's default location and validation succeeded. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I am quickly loosing patients with this absurd activation, if it validates it should install and work.Brad
  11. I sent a follow up message to support, maybe I'll get this issue sorted out. Brad
  12. I'm having the same issue, fired off an email to support and was told to make sure I have SP2 installed, which it is, then static..........Brad
  13. I don't think they're coming back, they've taken whatever they've made and left the building plain and simple. As far as backups go, If you bought it it should be available, you didn't rent the product, you purchased a product. A product which is no longer availble through no fault of the consumer. They took your money and blamed it on pirates, so if you feel sorry for them fine, as for me they are in fact crooks just like the pirates they blame.Brad
  14. Yes IE 7 is included, WSUS will soon be installing it regardless, and if you're still on IE6, IE7 is better IMHO.Brad
  15. I've been running the RC of SP3 for a while now. If anything I'd say I've noticed an increase in performance. I've also not had any CTD's or other issues. By far the most stable SP release candidate I've seen. I suspect that if it was really unstable, MS wouldn't have made it available to the masses.Brad
