    How does Voxatc control planes on the ground?

     

    I have done a couple of flights from Stansted (UK2000 Xtreme scenery with latest AFD). Its a single runway airport yet it seems to want to direct all aircraft (and me) across the runway to the hold point instead of traversing the taxiway parallel and adjacent to the Terminal. Landing AI aircraft also seem to want to travel to the very end of the runway before exiting causing plenty of Go Arounds

    Hi Guys,

     

    Just done my first flight and have a few observations/queries.

     

    1) STAR - Does ATC randomly assign a STAR or a vector depending on a certain set of circamstances or should it always assign a STAR if on IFR and the last waypoint is the start of a STAR? I was issued vectors despite last waypoint being the start of a STAR?

     

    2) SHould ATC monitor your position ie altitude and heading as I planned my Flight Level wrong so I flew what it should have been whereas ATC assigned me another altitude but I never got a warning about it

    Ah great thats good to know! I hope that the patch come out soon. I did see from the update list that enroute traffic has been improved, not had a chance to test this yet though. Can anyone confirm its better? I love the immersion of ATC :-) I have the IVONA voices too I am using with MCE so this provides a lot of variety!

    Thanks for the replies, i downloaded the demo. It seems really promising but had a few performance issues to begin with that seemed to iron themselves out, namely the voices stopping and starting and then the program eventually crashing...hopefully it won't happen again

    I have been using RC4 for a long while now and I have been looking at VOXatc as it uses SIDS/STARS but I have a few questions:

     

    1) How does Vox work with UT2. I've seen something called UTBridge but I'm not sure exactly what it does?

     

    2) I understand Vox uses its own traffic but does this include repaints and models etc? How well covered are included airlines?

     

    3) Does Vox communicate dynamically with AI aircraft?

     

    4) Does Vox work with MCE as it seems both Vox and MCE provide a FO?

     

    5) I've heard that was/is a UK version, is that available?

    Absolutely agree with WR269. Any issues with this product, email the developers direct. That's the way they prefer to provide support, and they are very responsive.They will work with you to resolve any issues you have.

     

    +2. They're great. I email them quite a bit trying to get them to add features haha. They always respond within a day and are very helpful. I wasn't too bowled over by the demo either but I took a punt based on the review by Chock and I can't fly without MCE now.

    Hi Will,

     

    Yeah definitely, if/when there's more functionality added I'm more than willing to add some things and update as necessary.

     

    BTW there's a new update to my flows v1.2, just a couple of things i found while using the flows myself.

    EDIT: Just seen the update list. Woohoo, they added the things I emailed them about while making my flows. I'll definitely add these! Also the bit regarding the cabin crew sounds volume and custom sounds is very interesting :-) I think my weekend has now been filled haha!

     

    The v1.2 update will probably be out of date fairly soon haha
