  1. Hi Craig,I picked a random load so I can't give you an exact figure on that right now(it looked to be about 2/3 full) but I can tell you that I had on board about 237,000lbs of fuel and initially, had 10% set for reserve and cost index at 125. After the FMC message, I bumped the fuel up to 280 and still had the insufficant fuel message. Then I dropped the reserve down to 5% and put the cost index at 100, still the message appeared. No matter what I did , the FMC stated I would have "0" fuel once I arrived....it wasn't changing. So I guess I'm wondering that once this message appears, do you have to creat a new flight to get rid of it?Thanks for the help, Ron
  2. Ok, I'm having some problems with the 744 frieghter. First off my version of the Queen is a cd version that didn't need the patch. Last night I created a flight plan from KSFO to EGPH with flight sim commander and when I loaded it into the FMC, the route loads ok but I keep getting a runway load error message. The second problem I have is an insufficent fuel message.Prior to going into the sim, I load the cargo and fuel using the load manager but it doesn't seem to matter how much fuel I have , I still get an insufficient fuel message. Thanks for the help, Ron

Hi Mark,I just wanted to thank you for your suggestion of using the FSX MAGDEC.bgl. For a long time now I've suffered the effects of miss aligned runways with all my PSS planes, but after trying what you suggested, everything is spot on now and running fine. What I can't seem to figure out is why my other addon aircraft were never affected by this. This should become a sticky in my opinion.Cheers, Ron Gautreau
  4. Thanks everyone for the help and input. I'll give it a go again tonight and see what happens.Cheers, Ron
  5. Thanks John for the reply. I guess I was hoping that someone from PSScould verify that my login works ok. I'm at work right now so i can't be certain if I can log in properly until I get back home tonight on my PC. I hope it was just a glitch in the server.Cheers, Ron
  6. Hi,Last night I tried to log in to re-install my planes and it kept telling me that my password was incorrect. I'm assuming that the sever was having problems although I was able to get onto the site. Can someone varify that my login is still ok?Thanks, Ron Gautreau
  7. Ok,I've made some progress. This is what I did in the proper sequence. I re-flashed the bios with the latest bios for my motherboard and downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for the motherboard as well. I then unistalled the video driver in the add remove programs and rebooted into safe mode and ran driver cleaner pro 3 TIMES!! to remove all traces of the old driver. I then did a normal boot back into windows and reinstalled the latest nvidia driver. I then ran pc doc to clean up any bad registry entries. Next I renamed my FS9 config file to .bak and started FS9. The sim will make a new config file so you will have to go back and reset your settings. It run's like a charm now.So it had nothing to do with PMDG or any addon that I had installed. I just had the base sim installed with the PMDG 747...nothing else to eliminate all other possibilities of conflict. Also make sure each time you test fly you use the same peramiters and route each time to get an accurate bench mark. I manually input the route into the fmc, again to eliminate any conflicts.I hope this may help out others who suddenly start getting conflict or the sim stops working properly.Cheers, Ron

  9. Hi Lee,I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing similar problems. Yours sounds more like a refresh problem than mine.Well, last night I actually made some progress. I decided to take the Level-D 767 on the same flight as the 747 and low and behold, it locked up approximatly around the same spot as the PMDG did, somewhere over the US. So this eliminated any problems with the PMDG and put the focus back on the sim and add ons.At this point I decided to uninstall everything and reinstall. As I was uninstalling Ultimate terrain USA, it gave me an error message saying that there was an ilegal bitmap and that it lost it's link for the uninstall and could no longer continue. So this has lead me to believe now that there was something wrong with my Ultimate Terrain USA as the crash was happening in the US and not in Canada where the flight started from.I've now uninstalled everything and am going to just reinstall FS9 and the PMDG 747 and fly the same route again to see what happens. I suspect the flight will go ok. If it does ,I'll install my add ons one at a time to see if the problem comes back. You may be in the same situation as me for a reinstall but it sounds more like you have a setting on your display you need to tweak. Is your game resolution the same as your desktop? If not, I would try this first.Regards, Ron
  10. Hi All,I desperately need your help. FS9 is running alright but for some unknown reason after about 1.5 hours of flying, it goes into a lockup were the image on the screen is frozen and the sound is in a loop and I have to reset the machine each time.I've tried everything I could think of, taking the plane back to the stock plane with no updates, new vid drivers, old vid drivers, no traffic, no weather, but I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.I've searched the forums to no avail. The test flight I'm running is from CYYZ to KLAX in the PMDG 747 at 30000ft set to land on runway 24L through the CIVET star. The flight starts out great. I turned off traffic and weather so that I had no iterferance at all. My frames outside the cockpit are 25-30, very smooth. I reach cruise, still no problems and flying smoothly. I leave the computer to let the flight continue and come back 1.5-2 hours later to find that it is frozen and the sound is in a loop. It always happens at approximately the same time frame in the flight. Tonight I will be flying the same route but with the Level-D767 as a comparison. I've got all the latest drivers installed as well. I'm using the latest driver from the XFX website for my Nvidia 7800GS. The machine and vid cards are cool enough, so I know that it isn't over heating. Everything was running just fine until I did a re-install on my machine recently.I'm using all the same settings as I did before the re-install.I'm almost suspecting that maybe a certain section of the terrain could be doing this. I've got ultimate terrain installed along with FS Genisis terrain mesh.If anyone has had a simalar experience and resolution I'm open to them. Thanks, Ron 3.0ghz2.0 gig ramwin xp pro SP2nvidia 7800 GS
  11. Hi Lars,I'm trying to narrow down a very similar problem to yours. While flying the PMDG 747 for about 1.5 to 2 hours with no problems, the system hangs and the sound loops. I then have to restart the PC. I've tried everything I could think of, taking the plane back to the stock plane with no updates, new vid drivers, old vid drivers, no traffic, no weather, but I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.Tonight I'm going to fly the same route with the Level-D 767 and see if it still locks up. If it doesn't, the next step is to start from the ground up and reinstall FS9 with just the 747 and add one addon at a time till the conflict occurs. Unfortunatly this takes a lot of time and is a pain but then at least PMDG can replicate the problem on there end.You can also try and do a defrag with a good defrag software like diskeeper 2007 and try to clean the registry with a registry program like PC Doc. In some cases this has helped alot. also make sure all your drivers are up to date.Regards, Ron
  12. Hi Paul,I really appreciate you taking the time to feed me some solutions to my problems. You hit the nail on the head...I was ready to through in the towel and forget about flight simming altogether as it seemed I was spending more time on the forums than flying.I do have a diskeeper 2007 pro for my defrag program which works amazingly to keep my system running effeciantly. I also have a program called PC Doctor which helps clean up bad or dead registry entries and works well. I suppose I should have tried running this utility first to see if it would help but was a bit nervous as I suspected that it may have been resposible for removing some reg. entries that were needed one other time. It was partially my fault for not really examining what it was removing.Anyway, I think I'm starting to get somewhere now. I'm going to install just the 747 Queen of the skies first without any updates and see if the system remains stable. If all goes well, I will start adding updates one at a time as Steve suggested to see if it is one of these that is affecting the sim.I will definetly check out Uniblues reg cleaner and compare it to what I have. Thanks again, Ron
  13. Thanks Steve. I will try this. Do you think I should uninstall my 737 as well? or just the 747?Thanks again, Ron
  14. Just an update my original post, here is a simalar post to my problem. He talks about it happening in the 737 though:#74317, "Frustrated as I'll ever get." It is pretty simple really, my computer locks up about an hour into any flight with only the pmdg 737, any model. I can fly for hours in anything else with no problems, but why would I want to? Every time I'll be at cruising alt or almost there and wham, lock up. I've tried everything I know of, Burn in test for hardware, drivers, uninstall PMDG, reinstall, uninstall again, reinstall again. Its odd and I'm sure no one will no whats wrong as there are no real obvious signs of why it is failing, any ideas would be helpful. My computer never locks up, it just started this after I reinstalled FS9.1 and put the new patch on it. It doesn't lock up with any other application either, no matter how long I run them. Weird.
  15. Well I'm really not sure what I should do next to get my 747 running properly again. Some time ago I purchased the boxed version of 747 Queen of the skys and loaded it and ran it with no issues. Recently I purchased the Cargo version as a download . After installing it along with the sound patch, everything seemed to be ok. After flying for a few hours, I get this lockup where the sound seems to go in a loop and I have no option but to push the reset button on my pc. I've just recently reloaded my computer with everything fresh hoping this would solve this issue(as I was getting the same thing happening before the reinstall ), but to no avail. I followed the install instuctions as well for the proper installation order. All my drivers are current. The system is defraged regularly. Tempuratures are good (if I added anymore fans I think my pc may take off). I'm using FS auto start and have been for some time now without any problems. My video card is an invidia Geforce 7800GS,Processor intel 3.0ghz, 2.0 gig ram, 700 watt power supply. All my other add on planes are running fine, PSS, Level-d, Wilco, so I really can't figure this out. I'm starting to suspect it may be related to the sound patch so tonight I'm going to uninstall this patch and see what this does and possibly unistall all PMDG 737 and 747 and start from scatch with no patches. I've searched the forum and have come up with a few posts from early 2005 with the exact same problem but with no real solutions. Thanks for the help, Ron
  16. If you follow Peers instructions, this should work. At least it did fo me.Ron
  17. Thanks Peer, I will definetly try this out as well.Cheers, Ron
  18. Hi Dan,Thanks for the reply I will try this out tonight and let you know what happened. I also wanted to say that when i looked in the PMDG directory for sids and stars, everything was there for KORD, runways included. So I tried just re-downloading the navigraph file and re-installing it but I still have no runways showing up on the arrivals page. It's almost like the link is lost between the sim and the data.Ron
  19. Hi,I'm currently having some problems with no runways showing up for KORD in the arr screen for the 747(but it is also happening in the 737). I've got the latest data from navigraph, cycle 0611. Can anyone please check there arr screen for KORD and tell me if if you have the same thing happening? I don't want to reinstall anything if I can avoid it.Thanks for the help, Ron
  20. Hi,I'm currently having the same problems with no runways showing up for KORD in the dep arr screen. I've got the latest data from navigraph. Can anyone else check there screens for KORD and tell me if if you have the same thing happening? The cycle I'm using is 0611.Thanks, Ron
  21. Just to add a bit more detail to my original post, this always happens in flight during cruise . I thought originally it could be the way I was importing the fligts into the FMC so I manually programed it , and the same thing is occuring. I've also tried re-installing the sound card drivers as I had thought it could possibly be this, but still the same. Also I'm using 4x time compression. I have to try a flight without it to see what would happen but I didn't have a problem using it before the install....Anybody????Ron
  22. Hi, I just installed the 747 cargo and have yet to fly a complete flight without a hard lockup where the sound goes into a loop and I have to shut my PC off and reboot. Everything was working fine with my other PMDG747(boxed version with update installed)until I installed this new plane. Can someone help me out with trouble shooting this? Thanks for the help, Ron
  23. Hi John,I did another test flight tonight and confirmed that the auto spoilers seem to be operating normally. It must have been something I did to disconnect them before touch down before. Thanks for the input.Ron
  24. Hi John,I'm going to re-test hopefully tonight.I did do a full cat3 autoland and left autopilot on all the way down to the runway and everything worked as it should with spoilers deploying and autobrakes staying engaged until I touched the throttle.Ron
  25. Hi John,This was happening on the 757-200 model. I did some further test flights and discovered that when i disengage the auto pilot, it also disarms the autobrakes. Is this the way it is suppose to work on the real 757-200? I'm not sure if it was also disarming the auto spoilers as well when disconnecting the autopilot.Ron
