  1. My deepest condolences, i have learned an lot from him!
  2. The last answer for three weeks ago was that they know (hehe an confirmation...) it and are working on it, they asked me to be patience...PATIENCE???? The whole world is crying out loud that it isn't working for months, may i say years??????????????????Got some sort of crossfire working, see http://forum.avsim.net/topic/293177-i-got-crossfire-working-in-fsx/page__p__1819618__hl__fsx+crossfire__fromsearch__1#entry1819618
  3. Hi there, just wanted to point out that according to Unwinder, the developer of MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner + my own expirience there are still MAJOR problems with CrossfireX!The readme of version 1.51 The problem still exist from today, have removed the second hd5850 and the system is really 'flying'.The readme confirms my own observation that the cpu is stressed! No, the cards are NOT overclocked!ATI has to shame them selves not already solved this? I mean, i have bought an second hd5850 for what?Edit: yes, contacted ATI techsupport and they are playing dumb, they do not know that for instance clouds are THE major issue concerning FSX, asking me to install everything again (the standard answer from every tech support if they do not know what to answer) - did this so many times that i can do it blindfolded!Haven't heart from them for an couple of days, do not expect an answer because the drivers are faulty and they know it!
  4. Has throwed the Strike 2 Extreme out of the window. It's an board with an lot of potential but.................. yeah, an lot of potential downwards :( Trying an X48C now with an simple X1950XT card and - could raise the CPU to 4000mhz- very acceptable flying! The S2E is one of the baddest boards I have ever seen, its only usefull for overclocking and NOT for common use!!Have tried it for 3/4 year now and have had it!All thanks for the reply's.
  5. graphics is okay, tested with ALL Futuremarks products. Thats an good one, never thought about it.and.... who conserves something has profit of it, has saved the original textures!will come back to you
  6. Maybe somebody could help me out, when I have to setup FSX and the addons fresh again to find out what is causing the troubles I would be gone mad....................The problem:By coincidence (mostly flying by daylight) I find out that, doesn't matter what kind of plane or scenery, FSX is crashing after an couple of minutes when flying in the dark.Daylight NO problems! It is an complete (system) crash and I know that the result is an overload of the system or you could say that the computer can't produce the scenery. As an example: the same occurs when you will set the clouds to heavy which is an common problem with FSX, but can't set the sliders more to the left......................Have tried every setup you can imagine.Have tried several vga drivers, at the moment 178.24My specs:QX9770Striker 2 ExtremeMemory 2 x 2GB Buffalo 1800mhz 2 x 8800 gt's in sliHighpoint Rocketraid 17404 x 500GB hdd's in raid 5PSU 1100 watts Vista Ultimate X64System tested with Linpack and Prime95, no errors. Some software:FSX accelleration packUTXFSGX
  7. NO it isn't your soundcard!!The sound is just an symptom that something is wrong, its just the easiest thing to wipe out for an overloaded system. What is causing the troubles? My guess is as good as yours..................................
  8. Can't get this videocard working under Winxp X64.Tried everything you could imagine, downloaded and installed dozens of drivers from different manufacturers but FS9 won't work! The strange thing is that with an MSI RX800SE (ATI) everything is working well.My specs are:Asrock939DualSataII mobo1 gig pc3200 memoryAthlon 3700+ processor500w PSUGet an screen with on the wrong places the sky with clouds , furtheron the system is verry verry slow, no preview of the plane.Tried every imageble setting within XP and FS9, nothing works. Can't imagine that the ULI chipset is the evil one because Nvida has bought ULI and is supporting ULI on the official Nvida-site; it is working well with ATI.Winxp by itself and the 7800GS are working well, it is just concerning FS9.Who??
  9. Had the same problem, solved with the 81.98 or 84.25 driver. With the 81.98 driver some other issues are solved concerning the 7800gs/FS9, is being used by most of the 7800gs owners as I understand.Installed the latest driver, 84.56, and untill now everything is working well.ftp://www.xfxsupport.com/public/driver/84...ceware_whql.zipFurtheron, DON'T USE RIVATUNER!The 7800gs isn't (still) supported, if you use it you will get errors, even if you change it to read-out the 7800gs!All FS9 sliders on FULLAA on 8AF on 16High qualitysystem specs:P4 3.0Ghz HT1024mb ddr400Gigabyte GA8IPE1000 rev3 (pci latency standard on 32)XFX 7800gs extremeFS9 around 50 gig!Tuned FS with http://www.fs-gs.com/index.html a long time ago, can advise you to do, no cure no pay, cost you 60 euro, you won't regret it!FPS in standard scenery between 40 - 70FPS with add-ons between 20 - 40 except Cloud9 Amsterdam wich is an very, very bad scenery concerning FPS; I removed it from my HD.Overall there is and will be an dramatic falldown in FPS concerning add-ons, espectially with airports, buildings but with the 7800gs it is acceptable, no or verry slight stutters; slight shimmering.
