  1. Hi 777 Simmer Once Rainman has given me the performance benchmark figure at the end of the test I will be able to ascertain whether he has an issue with the PC or not ..... It won't help us with FSX as such but if it's a pretty poor result figure then he will need to check out the components within the PC I look forward to hearing back from him Regards Paul
  2. Hi 777 simmer I am sorry that came over as a 'flippant' remark ... it wasn't intentional ... so I apologise profusely ..... Let's hope we can bring this to a successful conclusion for our Swedish friend Regards Paul
  3. Hi I suggest you try this ... there seems to be a lot of shooting around in the dark here and I really do think this is a process of elimination ...is it FSX or is it the PC So .... I recommend you download this benchmarking software and once it has loaded ... run the benchmark without touching any of the settings within the program When it gets to the end it will give you a benchmark number ... please let me know what that is The link is here http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3tc/demos_en.php Regards Paul
  4. Just as an exercise ...... Try running FSX in a small window and see what FPS you are getting
  5. How many screens are you running on?
  6. +1 Stephen As soon as I saw that post from Coryb I though it was WELL out of order and I am pleased you have pulled him up on it
  7. Hi everyone I am just playing 'Devils Advocate' here You are saying that it is possibly an Opus issue but does this issue happen with other aircraft such as the 737NGX or any other third party 777 ..... Process of elimination me thinks ...... Regards Paul
  8. You are EXACTLY right Mark!!!
  9. Hi Everyone Hmmmmm .. this is an odd one ....I click on the icon to start FSX ..... it loads fine to the screen with the preview rotating screen of the Microlight ..... but as soon as I click 'Fly Now' I receive an onscreen message saying 'Input not supported' There is no way I can click off that message and the only way out is to close the system down completely Any ideas on sorting this one out please Cheers
  10. Hi Everyone Hmmm interesting one this .... I have just upgraded the firmware on my TH2Go and also downloaded the latest drivers to give me better widescreen resolutions for my screens What I am finding now is .. even though I have got some awesome resolutions to use when I am in FSX the little circle (egg timer)is constantly turning next to the mouse arrow I have installed this onto three other systems and the same thing is happening I got in touch with Matrox and their initial reply was that it is probably an issue in FSX .. I did explain that this didn't happen using the previous drivers and firmware Anyone else experiencing this problem and if so .. have you managed to get an answer/fix? Thanking you in advance :-)
  11. Hi Bart Thanks for that .. I will give it a go ...Hmmmm yes I have posted this in the wrong place!! Trust me !!!!!Yeah ..... I have emailed Go Flight with the problem too Thanks anyway .. well appreciated
  12. Hi everyone ...Mmmm I have a strange problem ...I use the GF46 Goflight modules for various uses but when using one of these for the XPDR it will not function correctly in FSX ...When you turn the dials on the GF46 to set a squawk code the LED numbers just randomly move to any sequence ... also you cannot select any of the numbers to change individually ...For example ... it will be set to default 1200 if you select to change the first number which in this case is the digit 1 .. it will turn the last digit 0 instead !!!If you look at the gauge in FSX all seems to be normal but the digits will not be the same as on the actual GoFlight module.I thought at first it was a faulty module but swapped it for another and the same problem occured ..I then thought right let's try this on a different PC with just FSX installed and the same thing happens..My initial thoughts are that it's a Goflight config software issue ...I have tried both the older 1.71 software and the new 1.81 but still the same problem ..All other assignments ie Nav1 Nav2 Com1 etc etc all work perfectly .. its just the XPDR that has the problemsI am using FSX with SP1 and SP2 on a Vista 64 Bit Home Premium version .. with Admin rights and set to run in Windows XP compatibilty mode enabled ( Ihave tried it with this off too)I am at a loss on this one .... If anyone else has had this problem and has the fix then I would really appreciate a few pointer :-)Cheers in advancePaul
  13. Hi NickOk .. I have now had the opportunity to try the Halo fix and it worked a treat!!! :-)Thank you very much indeed .. you are a Saviour !! Have a great Easter Cheers Paul
  14. Hi Nick ...This sounds very promising .. thank you very much .. really appeciate it I will let you know how I get on :-)But .. thanks a million Paul
  15. Hi everyone ...I am using a Matrox Triplehead2Go digital module spanning FSX over 3 x 22" LCD Panels ...Because it is using such a high resolution to achieve this ... the aircraft landing lights look absolutely huge!! I was having the same problem with the Runway approach lights but by editing the FSX config file by adding Runway light scaler lines I have managed to overcome the balloon like problem ..Alas .. I haven't been able to overcome this issue with the aircraft landing lights and just wanted to know if anyone here has the answer ..Thank you in advance Paul :-)
