How you you get RC and the flightplan I make in FS2004 come out the same? I can make a flight plan in FS2004 from A to B , direct and then the flight plan in RC will have 2- 5 way points or I can make a flight plan in FS2004 (VOR to VOR) with 10 waypoints and then RC will have me go DIRECT with NO way points. How do I get them to come out the same? jerrycwo4

The other day I read some info about a small utility program named, "FlightSimManager". Could someone tell me what it is mainly used for and how it works. Does it put your sceneries in your Scenery Library in their CORRECT positions? Thanks, jerrycwo4

My cfg file was already listed as "FLT" so it must have been corrected BEFORE I downloaded vr 1.6. Thanks for the info. jerrycwo4PS... For anyone that wants to add Innsbruck (LOWI, I think) to your AES airports you can not buy just that airport. It is included in the "package" of Aerosoft's airport's, German Airports 1. People in the U.S can get a better deal by ordring it direct from Aerosoft Canadian office at phone number (519) 227-1379. It is only on CD and not available as a "download" product.

I don't ever remember ever seeing any flowers/flower beds in Flight Sim ( any of them) but with some of the scenery programs like Lago's Scenery Enhanser or Abacus EZ Scenery you might could add some of your own. Trees and rivers are every where. jerrycwo4

I recently installed Fly Tampa's St. Maarten Airport to have it work with Aerosofts' AES program. There was supposed to have been a typo in the .cfg file as: AESA_TNCM_FLT.cfg. The correction was to change the "FLT" to "FTL", but when I looked at all of the other .cfg files in the AIRPORT folder they were all typed as "FLT" and not the correction way of " FTL". (I'm trying to register in the "Fly Tampa Forum" but I'm having a small problem). Has anyone else made the correction by changing the 3 letters in the .cfg file from "FLT" to "FTL" ? I have the new AES vr 1.6 and use three differant key combos to open all of my 767's doors: 1. Shift / E2. Shift / C3. Ctrl / 2 (the #2 under the "@", not the keypad)#2 # 3 are assigned "fold winds" and tail hook settings but they open all the doors that will open. jerrycwo4

I LOVE this new AES !!!! I was always disappointed that FS2004 never had a towing tug and now with AES it has everything. Does anyone that has it know if there is an adjustment for any particular aircraft to have the towing tow stop and hookup in the correct postion ? On the B-25 I tried it went "in" way too far". Has anyone tried to see if the back stairs will go to the correct postion on a Super Connie aircraft? jerrycwo4

Ron, This is what I was looking for. Now I understand that when I "run" Rebuild runwasy DB which is insise of RC4, it uses the .exe. Makerwys to remake the runway data. Thanks for the good help jerrycwo4

What is the differance between the beta version of makerwys.exe ( or the default version of makerwys) AND the Rebuild runway DB which is inside RC? I have been installing some new airports recently. Do I need to "run" both the "beta version of makerwys.exe" AND the "Rebuild runway DB" ? Are they the same programs and/or do they do same thing? If not what does each do? Thanks jerrycwo4

My problem trying to fly to Flightzone's Portland (KPDX), with RD4 was fixed. It was too easy. I found the answer here on the RD4 fourm. I'm showing the fix here again so that someone new with the problem will not have to search for the answer. It will be here, at least for awhile:The critical fix is as per John Burgess advice as follows:"if you rename KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl as !KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl all may be well:This simple fix works fine for me. This is the steps I took:-1. Locate the file KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl (It is located under FlightZone02_SCScenery)2. Rename it to !KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl3. Launch FS9 to ensure the Scenery.cfg is updated4. Exit FS95. Launch Radar Contact 46. Click Rebuild Scenery DB to update RC4 data.The two programs should then happily work together.Hopefully John or Ron will comment if I have this wrong.Cheers,Warren"Having fixed that problem a few other questions came to mind. As anyone who has purchased the Flightzone's Portland Airport ( KPDX) there is a problem when trying to get there using RD4, you can't get there uing RD4. The problem was fixed a few months ago, but I just purchased the airport and found the problem. The fix is unbelievable easy. I recently installed a "auto pilot" from the default LEAR JET(FS2004) into another plane that did not have one. Only problem was when the AP was on, you could only change directions in 10's of degrees and altitude in 1000's of feet. No flying 015 at 2800 feet. Today I was going to change direction and as I put the mouse curror over the direction "spot", I accidently hit my mouse's center wheel and the direction changed by ONE degree and not by 10 degrees.... same thing on the altitude. Problem solved . Use the mouse's center wheel for single units. jerrycwo4

I recently installed two new airport sceneries, "Fly-Tampa Seattle (KSEA)" and "Flightzone Portland (KPDX)". When I try to use RC4 with this flight ( in either direction), after I pick out the "flightplan" and OPEN it, either one or two things happens. In the flight plan, either the departing or the arriving airport is MISSING, i.e.____ to KPDX, or KSEA to ____. It should be like ,"KSEA to KPDX." Of course, in these cases you can NOT use RD4. JD informed me that a "ton" has been said about this problem, but in the (only) 4 pages listed in this forum, nothing is said as it must have been a while ago. Was a fix ever given for this problem? "I get a bit confused between landclass, mesh and terrain. Although now I have FSGenesis I'm aware mesh is the elevation of the land etc." Your not the only one that is confused by these terms. From time to time differant people try to explain to the rest of us what they are all about. It would be REALLY, REALLY be nice for all of us, if someone would take the time, and once and for all list all of the differant elements like "landclass, mesh and terrain", and a short explination as to what each does and then the main part, LIST all of the differant products like Ultimate Terrain, FSGenesis etc and put them in lists. As, all of these are terrain products, all of these are landclass products etc.Then for the few of you that really understand all of this, give us a list of all of the "scenery inhancement" products that you, youself personnal use so that the rest of us could have great looking scenery also.
