Thanks for the info on the "Feelthere ERJ-145. I found their site yesterday and purchased the aircraft. As you say, it's fairly complicated so I'll save it for a rainy day and fly the POSKY version for now. Question. If I have both versions of the ERJ-145 , the FeelThere and the POSKY, why would I want to put the pannel from the Feelthere into the POSKY ? jerrycwo4

Yesterday I had flashing "texture" around the appron and near the gates of KBOS and this was version 2.0 . I installed version 2.1 (available here at AVSIM) and the flashing stopped. This morning I tried a flight from KlGA to KBOS and when I landed the "flashing" texture was there again. I went to the "scenery library" and noticed that "Boston-Logan2" was in a postion about mid way down the list of scenery, position 30 or something. I moved "Boston-Logan2 up to position #2 (Aerosoft AES is in position #1) and when I tried the airport all around, ALL of the flashing texture had stopped. I only had a very little "twinkling" of some small fences near the gates which I can live with very easy. All in all Boston v2.1 really shows up nice and I'm getting 18-24 FPS with traffic set at 75%. Maybe this is the real fix. jerrycwo4PS: Ever tried to get back into the "scenery Library" when FS2004 is still running? "Close your flight" and it will give you a window in which "settings" is there again and from there you can get back into the library.

Thank you, Thank You, Thank You. Problem fixed. I had version 2.0 (Jan 2006)by George Grimshaw installed and when I installed version 2.1 OVER THE TOP of version 2.0 the flashing textures were GONE.(Do NOT UNINSTALL version 2.0) Version 2.1 is dated January 2007 and is at the link you provided above. Now I do not have to "settle" for something less than the best. jerrycwo4

What' wrong with the new Project Open Sky ERJ-145 Nav 1 radio? It seems to be stuck at 110.5 and I am unable to change it to the correct ILS freq when I need to. The ONLY work around (which is unsat) is to, when I am assigned to a ILS runway, I change the ERJ-145 to another aircraft, change Nav 1 to the correct freq and then change back to the ERJ-145. This is unsat because it messes up a couple of aux programs that I'm running with FS2004 at the same time. I remember that FS2002 had a "communications setting" that you could change the radio's freq but FS2004 does not have this feature. Am I the only one having this problem with this new aircraft from Project Opensky? Other than that, it's a nice little aircraft. jerrycwo4

A third question, please. I've been flying Flight Simulator for about 10 years now, but I do NOT know when is the correct time to disconnect the Auto throttle BEFORE landing? jerrycwo4

I really love all of the effects that the Aresoft AES give and I have about 10 differant airports around the world that uses them. To use these effects you had to install another KBOS (Boston) airport from here at AVSIM but when your on the appron or near the gates there is a lot of "texture flashing". Normally I would NOT put up with this kind of "error" but to use KBOS with the Aerosoft AES I have to, or loose the AES effects if I went back to the default KBOS. Does anyone else have these "flashing" textures and/or a way to get rid of them? I'm wondering if it is the textures from the original, default KBOS that is causing the problem. Thanks jerrycwo4

I was going to have the manual printed at a local print shop but after looking at all 3 parts of the "manual" (download) I could not figgure out which of the three parts needed to be printed. Are all three parts of the downloaded manual needed for the TOTAL manual or is one part the main part needed to learn the aircraft? I do not understand the lay out or the break down of the manual. All three parts seemed to be almost the same infomation to me. Does anyone understand ther differant parts of the manual ? Thanks jerrycwo4

Alex, thanks so much for taking the time to write all of the above. It puts me a lot closer to my goal. My main flight computer now is a 2.6 Mg ABS computer and it has 2 differant video cards in it already. I also have 3 other computers in a 4 computer network so mabe I could use one of the other video cardsin another computer. Thanks for the good info. jerrycwo4

Alex thanks for the good info. So I am to believe that it is possible to show 3 DIFFERANT views at the same time on three DIFFERANT monitors in the 2d mode, for a 180 degree FOV? Where is the best place to get info on the hardware and/or sofware to do this and how to hook them up. jerrycwo4

That might have just answered my question and the post that I posted about 5 minutes ago. That was definatly NOT 3 DIFFERANT views on three differant screens.....that was ONLY one view split up on three differant views. I want to be able to see three DIFFERANT views on thre DIFFERANT monitors. Is this NOT possible ? jerrycwo4

I just received this email showing the inclosed view. I STILL can not pin down the correct answer to this question. With the Matrox tripple head 2 go is the below one view (the center) view from FS2004, SPREAD over three diffreant monitors or is it THREE DIFFERANT views each on it's own monitor. It's been awhile since I have added gauges but when you do you have the change the panel.cfg.of the aircraft that you are adding the gauge to. You have to have at least one Key (F1-F9)empty so that you can assign your new gauge to it. If you will e-mail me your panel.cfg of the aircraft that you want to put the gauge in and a panel.cgf of a plane that the gauge is already in I'll try to add it for you. Please help me if you can. I've spent the day trying to install a number of Italian airports into FS2004. All was well untill the last install (auto installer) that did not work properly as the airport (LIPZ) was not installed. The below email explains my problem:"I have spent the better part of a day trying to install about 7 different airports into Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 from your web site http://www.isdproject.com/ . Somewhere when trying to install the last few of them I must have made a mistake. Now everytime I boot-up FS2004, after a few seconds I get the message, "Building data base for new scenery files". I know that this message shows up after every install, but I'm getting this message EVERY time I boot up FS2004. I must have made a mistake and I can NOT find what my ERROR is. I tried to check the scenery liberty with the scenery.cfg but I could not find anything that I thought was wrong. Could you please give me some idea as to what to look for to solve this problem of this message showing up every time I start FS2004 ? I just purchased a A-4 Skyhawk with a "working" tail hook. A year or so ago I aquired (somewhere ?) a set of 5-6 aircraft carriers that had a WORKING capapult (sic) and "landing wires" but it took "keystrokes" to work both of them. I can NOT remember what they were. Can anyone who also has them please tell me what the key strokes are. Thanks jerrycwo4 ( (sic) means that there is a mistake and I know it. )

I wish I could help you but I don't know the answer. Just try to figgure out every thing that has chanded or added since you were LAST flying good. Hope you find your answer. jerrycwo4
