  1. scandinavian13's post in Min/Baro Knob was marked as the answer
The logic got added, but the function on the knob didn't. Perhaps in SP2.
  2. scandinavian13's post in EFIS/MAP display issue was marked as the answer
Reported in our tracking tool. Thanks!
  3. scandinavian13's post in PMDG 737MGX feature List? was marked as the answer
Yes. They were developed in parallel.

  5. scandinavian13's post in Operations Center was marked as the answer
Correct. This only comes with the 777, currently. Where did you get the idea that you got it as part of the NGX?

    You can't.

I'll close it, having answered here if nobody's addressed it yet.
  6. scandinavian13's post in What is the version of simconnect does PMDG 777 uses?! was marked as the answer
Why uninstall a version? I have all of the versions installed. Covers all of my add ons appropriately, and it's not like it takes up that much hard drive space.
  7. scandinavian13's post in PMDG 777 ELC was marked as the answer
The ECL currently in the product is the one straight from Boeing. The one in the preview shot was just us messing with it. I don't think any of the normal checklists run multiple pages (which is what the 1 and 2 are on the right side in the preview pic).
  8. scandinavian13's post in MD-11F MDL file was marked as the answer
Just re-run the installer. If you have lost your installer, log into your PMDG account and re-download it. Extended download service is no longer required.

I found your account in our system and re-sent the order email so you have easy access to the link. If you have issues, go to support.precisionmanuals.com
  9. scandinavian13's post in FMC Wind Uplink was marked as the answer
Changing one entry changes that entry and every entry thereafter. Honestly, I just re-request wind data any time I change altitudes.

If you set it up like I set it up in Tutorial #1.5, then you'll always have the most up to date wind without having to create a new file each time with PFPX.
  10. scandinavian13's post in Presales Question was marked as the answer
Correct - it was easier to leave the link open (365 days) than it would have been to re-validate everyone who needed the SP, or to push an update another way. This has caused confusion around here (obviously), but the official text in our support email for EDS is the following:

In the event that you need to re-download a product purchased from PMDG's eCommerce system, the following information is important for you to know:
PMDG provides seven (7) days of free access to all digitally delivered products via a unique download link. Beyond this period, Extended Download Service must be purchased in order to re-activate a download link. Extended Download Service will give you access to re-download a product for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. You can purchase Extended Download Service at any time for any product on your account, it does not need to be purchased on the date of the original product purchase.
  11. scandinavian13's post in Correct procedure for uninstall of 777 and -300 expansion? was marked as the answer
Usually, the best course of action is the opposite order in which they were installed. That is the case here. Using the license return features, as you mentioned, will also help to speed up the process for everyone involved.

  13. scandinavian13's post in ATIS was marked as the answer
Double check the frequency. Ensure you have the audio control panel configured correctly: -Ensure the MIC selector is on VHF L
-Ensure the volume knob is lit for VHF L (circular knob below the mic selectors)
NOTE: If you don't want to worry about this issue, change your settings under PMDG Setup to NEVER fail the radios (the default is "when misconfig/failed")
My bet is option 2. For more detailed information, see the intro manual for a section on common mistakes.
  14. scandinavian13's post in No "No smoking sign" switch in over head panel (Emirates Livery) was marked as the answer
Correct. Have a look in the manual, too, as it'll help explain some of the other options.

  16. scandinavian13's post in MCP Lighting was marked as the answer
There are multiple. There are three knobs below the display units in front of the captain (two of them are immediately to the left of the CDU), two in front of the first officer, two on the overhead, and two at the back of the pedestal. Usually there is one for backlighting (the numbers and lettering) and one for flood lighting (except the overhead, which has two for backlighting - one for the overhead itself, and one for the circuit breakers).
  17. scandinavian13's post in No "styles menu" with PMDG 737 NGX was marked as the answer

(Ensure the option "Show All" is checked at the bottom of the window that pops up)
  18. scandinavian13's post in Removing Altitidue Constraints was marked as the answer
Roll the altitude wheel to the next higher altitude and click ALT INTV.  I believe this is explained in the tutorials, which you should fly.  They will help you understand all kinds of extra information.

Additionally, you can also go to the LEGS page, press DEL and click on the right side line select key on the line that contains the constraint.
  19. scandinavian13's post in How to perform a rejected take off was marked as the answer
Ensure your A/T setting in the PMDG SETUP menus is set to allow the hardware to override in HOLD/ARM MODE.  Sounds like the sim is just ignoring your hardware.

The steps for rejecting throttle are as follows:
Pull throttles back to idle Done (Provided your autobrake is set to RTO)
  20. scandinavian13's post in Noise Abatement from charts into FMC was marked as the answer
The answer is right on that chart, and you would've found it just by reading it a little more carefully (except the EO ACCEL HEIGHT, but I'll discuss that in a second).  Just look at the terms on the CDU (FMC cockpit display unit) and compare the terms to the chart:

    FMC: ACCEL HT
Chart: Multiple references to a fixed speed - V2+10 - and then a reference to "normal speed."  In order to get from V2+10 to normal speed, one would have to accelerate.  Since they reference V2+10 until 4200, and normal speed thereafter, you would use 4200 as the ACCEL HT.

    FMC: REDUCTION
Chart: "At 2700 Reduce engine thrust to not less than climb power/thrust."

EO ACCEL HT is the odd ball here because it's based mainly on company SOP or a prescribed procedure (EO SID, as an example), which, unless someone gave you one, you wouldn't know what the SOP value is.  For the purposes of the sim, you can just leave it at the default.
  21. scandinavian13's post in 777-300ER Perf init uplink PFPX was marked as the answer
The 777's datalink features are platform independent.  What this means is that the 777 doesn't look for any other programs.  It looks for data in the PMDG folders.  You could use SimBrief, PFPX, or a hand created plan, and it'll still pull it in if you format it correctly (speaking only in terms of flight plans here).

That being said, as Jakob mentioned, you still need to configure the weights and fuel yourself via the FS ACTIONS > FUEL and FS ACTIONS > PAYLOAD pages.  The PERF INIT uplink data comes from that information.

External programs are not recommended to be used to alter the PMDG loads, and I doubt they ever will be.  Best just to assume you'll have to set the loads yourself.  I think a fundamental lack of understanding here is that it isn't importing/uplinking the weight itself (boarding passengers/loading cargo/fueling).  It's uplinking the data about those weights.  It's the same as it used to be where you had to hand-enter the data.  That didn't load the plane for you.  It just provided the data to the FMC.  Same thing with datalink (which is essentially using the "double click the ZFW entry" trick, and a couple others to give you PERF INIT data).
  22. scandinavian13's post in NGX and the Operations Center was marked as the answer
Not available yet as a standalone product.  It will be at some point, though, and as such, it will not be tied to any other particular product.
  23. scandinavian13's post in Engine Start - No fuel pumps? was marked as the answer
Yes - as mentioned: gravity and/or suction.  Additionally, I think the APU has a built in DC (electrical) pump, but using a tank pump is recommended.
  24. scandinavian13's post in Vspeeds Not available? was marked as the answer
Basically, the FMC is saying "given the information you've provided, I can't (or won't) provide you VSpeeds."  In your case, it was the latter:

"Based on the information your provided, there's no safe way for you to get out on that runway."

    Evidence?  Your whole-runway takeoff...
  25. scandinavian13's post in No letters and numbers in the six cabin displays was marked as the answer
Corrupted font.  Run the installer again and it'll offer you a couple options.  Choose repair.  Let it run.  Done!
