i have noticed that if i try and make a turn in hdg select and try and adjust the selection during the turn it has a nasty effect on the yoke making it appear to shake and it also prevents the aircraft banking any further while the adjustments are being made has any one else seen this happen, anyone from the team aware of this ? kav

no i did not , why does vista have to make our lives more complex than they have to be, kav -
i dont know why it has to be this way either i can only asume that there is a good reason why they cant develop fsx like other games , or im sure they would cos its certainly no good the way it iskav
-
yes well my setup is like lightning on most games , in 3d mark i was getting frame rates of over 1200fps but on the cpu part of the test they went down to 17fpskav

yes thanks this is exactly what i was refering to im glad it not just my copy that shows this but default textures, it will be nice to see a fix for this it looks awfulthanks for the reply and screen shotkav
-
i think that everybody does see it i will post a shot tomorow. if you look at the edges where desert texture meets green you see small squares rather than i good smooth blend it is almost pixalated but not blurred i thought it may have been to do with my fsx config that i may have tweaked at some point but i deleted it and still the samekav
-
correction to above i meant its all about CPU power not GPU, yes you will need a decent GPU but the cpu is the key dont bother with sli kav
-
And also it had proved to me that sli makes absolutely no difference to fsx. I ran a number of 3dmark tests with different configerationswith just one gpu installed and then 2 installed with sli enabled and with 3dmark sli made a big difference on the over score but with FSX absolutely no difference in fps. So the conclusion i came to and seems to be the general view in the forums is that its all about gpu, dont bother with sli as it has no benifit with the sim , other games yes. even 8 gig of ram did not imporove things i got the same fps with only 2 gig installed could not even tell any difference in smoothnesskav
-
oh i see sorry for that my mistakeKav
-
been in the forums from years actually only recenty started using fsx and have been a little dissapointed by the textures. This is no gpu problem its an fsx issue i will post some shots tomoro whan my fsx pc is back up and runningkav

ive noticed that in fsx there are some horrible block texture details, even at the highst settings were different ground textures meet there are large squares which are even visable from high altitudedoes anyone know of a fix for this unrealistic feature it was never this way in fs9 thankskav
