Increasing Viewed scenery Radius?
Hi gents, just wondering how you can increase the scenery radius around the plane, I already have my LOD RADIUS = 6.500000. When I am flying, the scenery radius follows the plane, adding scenery at the front of the plane and when looking behind, taking away at the rear. Its just that the LOD8 I think its called, that is surrounding me at a greater distance is bright green and looks totally unrealastic in colour, compared to the developing photo secenery radius around the plane ( flying around Madrid (LEMD). I have used Horizon VFR UK scenery and the photo scenery is crystal clear at high resolution from horizon to horizon with FPS over 60. Any help greatly appreciated..........thanks.. steve Quadcore OC"d to 3.2GHZ4gig ramNvidia 285 GTX680SLI Mobo

Re: NGX impending release: Are we there yet?
...changeing the subject slightly gents, being we"re on the brink of a new era regarding the up-coming release of "Microsoft Flight", and hopefully the "good-ridance" of notorious hurrendous frame rates with FSX, I hope all PMDG products will be compatable with Flight.....it"s just that I"ve spent years trying to get FSX to perform satisfactory since purchasing a MESH high-end pc back in 2006 ...and now with a Scan overclocked pc, i7 990X overclocked to 4.2 !!! with all matching hardware...still can"t get smooth fps :(........so really I"ve spent roughly £6000 + tons of software, it"s been ridiculous...so I would take it that microsoft have informed you way back of their plans to develope Flight and all PMDG plans would have been "put in place", so to speak, regarding compatabilities, etc regarding any further developements :( Anyway why are microsoft developing another sim when FSX still doesn"t perform to anybodies standards,5 years after release!.... hardware has significantly improved over these years, which hasn"t had hardly any effect on FSX :( I don"t think I could bare going through all that again with Flight..I"ve literally become an FSX software engineer trying to improve performance over the years, I could write down all the cfg. files without looking!

Externalities and the NGX
....... totally agree that it should be compatible,of course it should be, haven"t got a problem with the release date, just think that everything is getting a bit excessive, by any standards...........

Externalities and the NGX
...well he"s kinda right....I"ve been told on many of occasions that I am a very patient man, but I must say, it"s getting a bit rediculous now, don"t you think, for what ever reason, if things don"t change we will be at summer 2011!, ...makes one wonder as like NLS A380 developement, what"s going on, it wouldn"t be total re-development of the NGX due to microsoft springing on us the next offering "Microsoft Flight" a few months ago would it? (compatability?:()

HUD Resolution With TripleHead2Go?
Will the information on the HUD,still have clarity and be the correct resolution/size,when using triplehead2go(3840x1024)...also if one adjusts their eye-point backwards (ie,move their cockpit seat rearwards) is the information still readable?

Same old....bla,bla..bla
.....Oh my god....,developers really need to think about at what point in their product software development stage, they should create a forum,...just when you think everything is sown up after a 15 months participating in their forum, you see this :(

Some Dirt on the PMDG 737 NGX
...it does seem a bit odd that this forum mirrors that of NLS A380 and DCS Warthog productions as regards to delayed release and lack of info, moans etc...is there some significant up-coming date that has some sort of benefit regarding releases? :(

Flight Sim up close
...talking about un-usual things in FSX, I was once awaiting clearance at heathrow,it was dark and I saw a shooting star, I thought I was going mad...I mentioned this on a particular flightsim forum at the time, and some one replied: "oh yeh you can sometimes see these"

Good airport scenery packages
..Depends on your system specs, if its fairly high end or not, and where you frequently fly. Europe area very good airports are as follows: Mega Airport range.(Aerosoft) Exceptional extremely high end airports with excellent fps = uk2000 xtreme series airports. FSDreamteam are also excellent..see their site And seeing you reside in oz it would be criminal not to use ORBX scenery probably the best out there..see their site

PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter....
...OH MY GOD...and I thinks I done a little wee :( .. now, no-one saw that coming and we thought all was lost.......Do microsoft actually know what there doing, I sure in saying that the whole flight sim community had written off the next developement from microsoft a long, long time ago due to there dramatic press release..................

Seperate Scenery Zoom Level?
Hi gents, :( just taken delivery of the FSX MD-11.......awesome!....have flown the pmdg747 for years amongst others, I wish to ask a question regarding the scenery zoom level viewed through the virtual cockpit windows.I have always adjusted the default 0.70 setting to a more realistic 0.50, makes scenery a thousand times better looking and drastically improves photo scenery loading/blurring. If I remember rightly in FS2004 I could adjust the zoom without the cockpit zoom being affected, but this is a combined feature it seems in FSX.Setting the zoom to 0.50 makes the instruments to far away, and as in the 747 wasn"t a problem because one could adjust eye-point position accordingly. The default eye-position with MD-11 really is the best possible position and really shows off the cockpit and when one pans around the position of the pilots eye is correct, and when i try to decrease the outside scenery zoom to 0.50...obviously changing cockpit zoom with that..I cannot acheive a satisfactory eye-point as one could with the 747 ...to get the PFD to the default zoom size ie, 0.70 setting, your virtually sitting on the dash! and all panning view points are unrealistic and one cannot see over the dashboard suffiently. Is there any means to adjust the scenery zoom view that is viewed throught the cockpit window without effecting the cockpit zoom setting?....you may think "why is he so bothered by the zoom level"..well its taken me years to obtain a satisfactory visual quality to my photoreal scenery and this option I noticed really enhanced the scenery ie,FranceVFR alps etc......Oh,better mention I use Triplehead2Go! thanks Steve...................
