Hi Norbert I got this reply as well this morning Bruce

Sudden loss of directional control
This is quite normal on the Dash 8, the props are counter rotating, both props turn the same way unlike the ATR's, just set right rudder trim to counteract the tendancy to veer to the left and you should be ok, I tend to set the trim just short of the first mark on the guage and that works for me, only slight rudder input to the right needed to keep on the centreline

Throttle problems
Hi Robert Well good news at last. 1. I disconnected my goflight throttle from the USB Hub and all of a sudden my single throttle on my CH Yoke started working. 2. Re-connected throttle and placed the goflight config file on another drive, once again yoke throttle was working, so there is an issue with the goflight throttle. 3. Did the action that goflight gave to Gnacio that didnt work. 4. Removed Goflight software from PC and re-installed again, tested 777 again and once again throttle on yoke works, next I connected goflight throttle and once again no go, throttles jumping back to idle. 5. Made a new config file just for the 777 and removed the goflight throttlle settings, at last that worked, the single throttle on the yoke works perfectly no springing back to idle. 6. Replaced the config file with the old on and added the 777 my other two aircraft that I use in our VA came up ok apart from the lights on the 767, so have just re-installed the settings for the lights on the 767. At last I can start to use the 777 in our VA, we are doing trials just now so that was why I was getting frustrated with PMDG, I so wanted this aircraft to work. Thanks very much for your suggestions, at least now I have a working 777 all be it with on a single throttle controlling the aircraft, thats a heck of a lot better than I had before, I can live with that tilll PMDG bring out the SDK, goflight state that as soon as they get that they will make new drivers. Sorry if I sounded a bit nippy on here but you can understand my frustration with the 777. Regards Bruce Jackson

Throttle problems
Hi Robert Thanks for the suggestion, in fact no I dont worry at all about my other aircraft, but, when you have approx 12 modules all programmed through that cfg file, it becomes a big job re-inputting the settings again, the suggestion was to delete the file altogether. What might work for him, if for instance he has only the throttle installed is fine, but when you have a whole host of stuff programmed through that one file then thats a different ball game altogether. Correct me if I am wrong but is your suggestion to rename that goflight.cfg file to something else instead of deleting it? Now if I go back to the ifly737 and the Level D 767, FSUIPC sees the throttle but it dosnt when I go into the 777 surely that would point to something in the 777 software not being right. I will certainly give your idea a go and see if that works. I actually do love the 777 I have no other issues at all with it, just the throttles, and a whole bunch of other folks have the same problem, some have got them to work with your suggestion and others like myself nothing works at the moment. When my throttles revert to idle the doors sign on the eicas flashes , the throttles work well when no A/T is engaged, Sometimes I can get the throttles to go to full when A/T engaged but all of a sudden either the left or right throttle snaps back to idle leaving me with one engine effectively in the high speed regime and that is where the frustration sets in. Throttle problems
Well that idea did not work, still have the same issues as before, throttles snap back to idle when engaging toga. The only way I can get round the problem is by advancing the throttles to full without the A/T engaged then once in the air engage FL CHG and that engages autothrottles and I can leave them there for the remainder of the flight. I certainly hope PMDG comes up with a solution to these problems, too many people are having issues which should not be there on an aircraft costing this much. This is akin to buying a car without a gas pedal, would you buy that car? Regards Bruce Jackson

Throttle problems
Robert and Al Many thanks guys for your suggestions, will ask over on the Goflight fourm regarding the throttles, I know that Gnacino said to delete the Goflight.cfg since there was a problem between it and FSUIPC, I dont want to do that all my other aircraft and modules are through the cfg file. The system worked before I installed the 777 so I dont think its a problem between the goflight.cfg file and FSUIPC. Just maybe when the 777 installed over the FSUIPC software something was changed, I will uninstall FSUIPC first and re-install over the 777 and see if anything changes. Best Regards Bruce Jackson

Throttle problems
I have tried the fixes mentioned in hear to no avail. My still do not work. Using a Goflight TQ6 throttle. If anything FSUIPC messed up my system after trying the fixes mentioned. Will have to remove FSUIPC and re-install again, throttles are not seen in FSUIPC and they were recognised using LDS767 before and that too throttles not recognised Bruce Jackson

Revenge of the low end system!
I quite agree leave your fsx.cfg alone apart from highmemfix, I am using a core 2 quad q9300 cpu, an old nvidia gt430 1gb video card and I am getting smooth flights even on high density scenery. I do admit that I use fsxbooster and for me that does work, but for others it might not. People are getting to fixated on FPS and not smoothness, the key to any sim is smoothness no matter what the FPS is. at the moment I am using software wise is Windows Vista 64 bit and have no issues with it. I didnt think with my low end system that the 777 would work after seeing the specs from pmdg so I am very happy that this aircraft is flying superbly. Bruce
