  1. Best wishes for a speedy recovery after your hospitalisation. Your wellbeing is more important than any delay to the 777 line.
  2. I use F2 to activate reverse thrust on touchdown and F1 to deactivate thrust reverse. But the "F lock button" must be "on" otherwise no activation at all. I have used these buttons when doing ground testing on the engines with no problem.
  3. Thanks to all you guys for your help. I think the answer is the ADF sweep. I reproduced the flight and although the ADF was not "on" I entered a valid ADF freq. and the sweep began. The blue radial line extends from the origin (aircraft posn.) right up to the max range arc. and the line sweeps to the right and left of the route line up to 30degs max. Thanks again for your comments and for improving my learning curve. Happy flying. Brian s
  4. anybody know why I get a blue radial line sweeping up to +30 degs and -30 degs either side of the route to the next waypoint? this line appears then disappears as the flight progresses, there is no effect on the flight path. any comments welcome brian s
  5. Had the livery manager problem and used your recommendation for the fix. I followed the fix to the letter and everything worked OK. Only comment is that on FSX start up I am reminded that there are several files withe same name ie; pmdg livery. This is an easy one to fix. I have another comment re: the activation; it would be easier if you used the term " activation code" consistently throughout, rather than use " license" as the code. The NGX is a marvellous sim and you all deserve medals for producing such a fantastic airplane.
  6. my last reply wasn,t very clear. what I meant to say was " thanks for the help from you guys. - I......."sorry for the wrong statement hope I didn't annoy anybody.cheersbrian spruce
  7. thanks to you guys - I am still trying to solve this problem. I have repaired the pmdg md11 filers and the fmc still retains the take off settings even though I am in mid flight on a long haul trip.Security settings have been changed and at least I now get the aircraft in the correct position en route but with the fmc still thinks I am taking off!My next move is a complete reinstall of all my pmdg addons. I'll report further on progress.thanksbrian spruce
  8. Thanks Dan - I''ll try your suggestions and post further info when I can.CheersBrian
  9. Hi,I am now totally frustrated when flying long distance in md11. The flight will not save any of the flight plan/panel settings when actioned in mid flght. On using "msfs load saved flight" the md11 reverts to a situation just after take off with intial take off settings. This is even when the flight is several hours into a trip!Have tried all the usual repairs and reinstalled but no success. Can anybody help and suggest a way out?I run Windows 7 64, ati 5700 series card, 4gb memory.CheersValbiran
