  1. Good day everyone,I have run into a problem recently and have had absolutely no luck in solving it. I recently purchased a new monitor and after plugging it in, ran into trouble in FS9. Graphic detail was terrible, frame rates in the single digits, etc. I soon discovered that, under the "Hardware" tab in Settings, that my graphics card was no longer listed next to "Device Name". Also, a number of options had either disappeared or were no longer clickable, such as Hardware Rendering Options, Cloud Detail, Terrain Detail and Water Effects. I have tried everything I can possibly think of to remedy this situation, such as installing new drivers, rebuilding FS9 config, etc and nothing has worked. The really odd thing is that my FSX installation is still working fine, the trouble is entirely limited to FS9. If anyone can offer a possible solution I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance,DennisIf necessary, my specs are:Windows Vista 64AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.00 Ghz4 Gigs RamATI Radeon 4890 HD 1Gig Video Card

  3. + 41 One would think that with the decision to close the ACES Studio that Aerosoft and some of the other FS9 leery developers would begin to rethink their attitudes towards future development for FS9.Cheers,Dennis
  4. Hi,Exact same thing happened to me this weekend. Tried everything, would have pulled my hair out if I had any. Turned out to be a problem with NTune. For some reason, FSX worked perfectly fine while FS9 would completely freeze at the splash screen. Uninstalled NTune and suddenly, FS9 started up, no problem. I certainly hope this is of some help to you, and if not, then perhaps to someone else who is having some troubles.CheersDennisCYZX
