  1. The preview shots look very exciting. It brings back memories when PMDG released their 777 for FLY. Really looking forward to seeing more looks of their 777 design!
  2. Hi Kim,I also totally agree with the above comments with Mike Ray's manuals. Over time I have collected all his manuals and its been a very good way of learning aircraft systems in an easy to read way. There are loads of pictures and drawings to study and these manuals make an excellent stepping stone into the study and understanding of the wonderful aircraft and their systems that PMDG release.Flight simulation is a wonderful and rewarding interest that everyone around the world can enjoy whatever their language and one of the great things about it is that everyone learns at their own speed and online forums like this one are great ways of sharing and learning new information and idea's. It's never an easy thing coming into a forum asking for help and putting forward your idea's so well done on this!I congratulate you on your progress so far with your learning and efforts and hope you find what your looking for and continue to enjoy your flying.
  3. Thanks for this info guys, found it very intersting reading and have now learnt a few more things about the MD11 :(
  4. Its not doing anything special and nothing is missing. Its just that most aircraft flying these days have wing mounted engines and there are fewer and fewer tail mounted aircraft in the skies today which makes the MD11 always a spectacular sight to see especially closeup. Where I live there are only a very limited amount of MD11's (UPS and Fedex) flying in and out of Sydney.
  5. That's quite a valid comment guys- I've never taken notice of the tail engine reverser either so I did some searching and found this superb clip of a Finaair MD11 landing at Vancouver with a great shot of the tail reverser in actionHope the link works :(
  6. I would think given the limitations posed within FSX, the PMDG team are doing an amazing job pushing the as close to reality envelope. When they release the 777 later on down the track I'm sure it will be like all of their other products - brilliant and the ultimate best ever on the market with or without a shared cockpit
  7. Yep your correct there Cameron, just read Ryan's post regarding potential possibilities of a shared cockpit on page 2 of this thread.
  8. I'm really like the idea of a decent 777 for FSX. A few months ago I brought the Wilco 777 and was very disappointed with it and there are no other close to life simulated 777 products out on the market for MSFS. The 777 is an incredible aircraft and it always amazes how far this bird can fly in one hop not to mention the size of those engines! This will definately be another addition to my hanger when PMDG release it down the track for SE Asia - Western Europe flights.
  9. I love the red colour and her overall look as well and its interesting how Boeing have replaced the traditional winglets with raked wingtips instead. Another interesting note on this new bird is that the noise footprint will be 30% less than her counterparts like the 747-400 which mean she will be able to fly in and out of major international airports 24 hours a day which will be really interesting. Some groundbreaking stuff happening here!
  10. Hi Ben,Thanks so much for this, I'm currently using Active Sky Advanced by HiFi Simulations along with X Graphics. I've heard and read a lot about REX and their weather effects are simply amazing!
  11. Hi all,Thanks so much for these tips, have just uploaded some sceenshots on a new thread in the forum, really appreciate your fast replies back to me :( Kind RegardsPaul Norris
  12. Hi Everyone,I thought I would share some recent screenshots of a home flight over central Australia in my PMDG JS41 and MD11 over Vanuatu during an evening tropical thunderstorm. I would love to see anyone else out there who has any screenshots of their favourite flights or places they fly to! Hope you enjoy these ones :( Best RegardsPaul Norris
  13. Hi everyone,I've been trying to upload a few screenshots that i wanted to share but am having lots of troubles trying to attach the images to a new post. Is anyone able to give me some advice on the rules and what supported format the pictures need to be in please. Many thanks in advance for any advice offeredKind RegardsPaul Norris
  14. Thanks so much Robert and Ryan and the whole PMDG Crew for releasing so many preview shots for the NG and provding feedback and answering all of the posts the FS community put to you - this was a real treat and I persoanlly really appreciated you guys taking the time out to answer everyone. This forum really is one of kind for all the very best of reasons! The NG is nothing short of incredible and the quality is simply amazing! I have been flight simming since the the first fight simulator packages came out and with each of your releases you raise the bar higher and higher. Never before have I seen so much detail or system complexity with the NG and am already planning my NG flights around Australia and abroad with my ORBX scenery. It really will be well worth the wait spending time exploring the aircraft discovering all of her features! As an end note, my baby daughter loves watching the computer screen as I jump in one of my PMDG aircraft and take a short hop around Australia and its great to know that I can share my interest in flight simming with her for now at least.Well done again guys and keep up the brilliant work and service you provide to our communityBest RegardsPaul Norris
  15. Sorry for typo, the Active Sky X is an older product, the latest HIFI weather engine is Active Sky Evolution - fyi if interested :(
