  2. Hello B737 friends!Just a quick question : I would like to check on what airports I can operate the B737 (mainly 800) on my Orbx sceneries PNW and NRM. Therefore I would like to know the average runway lengh needed to take off and land the NG! I know the TOW, WX parameters or airport elevation need to be taken into account (I guess TOPCAT will become my friend for this) but I just want a rough idea just to sort a list of potential departure and destination airport. Thanks in advance!Pierre Lainé
  3. Hi 2D lovers!I used to be a 2D panel lover in FS9 as I used 2D panels to setup the aircraft and flying when the sim was on heavy load. Since I am using FSX now, I do not use 2d panels but only VC. I am used to it but sometimes I would like to fly a 2D panel just on heavy nice scenery. My problem is that with FSX I can't setup the point of view with 2D panel as easily as with FS9. It is so hard to setup to be able to see the runway clearly at Take Off and same at landing without messing with point of view adjustment during approach. So my question is : How do you setup the point of view in the main 2D panel in FSX? What are the commands which allow to do that? Thanks in advance!Pierre Lainé
  4. Dear all,Thanks for your answers. In fact, I am planning to buy ASE but not right now...matter of money^^ If I use ASE can I expect the wind shift problem to be over?Pierre Laine
  5. Hi everybody,I am using the marvelous Open Clouds for my real time weather flights but on my first flight with PMDG J41 (and I guess my first "that high" flight in FSX FL190) I was unable to finish my flight due to wind shift creating a sudden overspeed that made my plane crashed.I know about that problem but I thought that was not a matter with Open Clouds...currently, the only way I found to avoid this is to disable Wind aloft in Open Clouds...but that is not so fun without them.My question: Is there a way to keep wind aloft and avoiding wind shift in the same time with Open Clouds (and without using FSUIPC)?Best regards,Pierre Laine
  6. Thank you for your answers everybody^^I will give a try to some set given here and follow others advices!Best regards,Pierre
  7. Socks? Why not? Saitek Rudder pedals are quite slippery :( I should have put my post in FSX forum maybe. Is there a way to move it there? I just wrote here as I wonder what sets are used in PMDG screenshots.Anyway my mistake.Pierre
  8. Dear all,What would be the most realistic WX set from REX2 to fly the NGX over Europe? Particularly, sky and clouds textures....I found my try with various REX set to be to much blue or to much purpleor orange for sunset or dusk.Any idea would be appreciated.Happy flights and best regards,Pierre

  11. Hello everyone,I am new to FSX...but my system has very low specs, although I have good performance with FS9. My goal is to have a light FSX and to focus on airplane (ie future PMDG NGX) rather than on graphism or scenery. Here are my specs:Notebook Dell Inspiron 1520 Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo 2ghz T7300 RAM 2GO Nvidia 8600m gt 256I read a lot about tweaks in FSX but I am afraid they are aimed at high end specs hardware such as I7, etc. So, I really do not know which one I should be able to try on my computer.I found some resized textures in the library but I read some comments saying it is not a good thing to use such textures...I know that recently, some very important tweaks were found by ******* Altuve but is it aimed at a system like mine?Thank you for your help!Best regards,Pierre
  12. Hi,I am a satisfied user of FS2crew for PMDG747 and I am looking forward to try out the one for the Leonardo MD80.The voice commander feature seems such great! However I did read that some language options have to be modified for the voice recognition to work. I first read that only the voice recognition option has to be set to English, but I then read that the whole OS has to be set to English. What is true? In fact I can not change my OS from japanese to english because if I do I will lose the japanese ideograms and I need them:Thinking: What can I expect?Best regards,Pierre
