  1. Hi guys!Just completed my first long haul trip in the 747-400 which was pretty much faultless (EGLL-KJFK).The bit that wasn't so smooth was my own manual landing!! Does anyone have any advice on how to pull off a nice landing in this big bird?! I was finding the flare difficult to judge. Thanks,Tom
  2. I put all the waypoints into the FMC manually and got the problem.
  3. Hi!Sorry to bring up quite an old topic but I have just got the PMDG 747-400 for FSX and am currently flying from LHR to JFK and am experiencing the same issue as you are describing. I don't have a registered version of FSUIPC, but am flying with the weather set to 'Clear Skies' and wind velocity is 0. The aircraft is gently banking a few degrees right then a few degrees left every couple of minutes. Like you, I've only noticed it whilst flying over the Atlantic (ie with no close navaids). It's like it's continually trying to track the route. It's certainly not as bad as the problems I was having with 757 Captain (where the AP frantically shook the aircraft left and right violently), but if you were a passenger on this aircraft you'd be reaching for the barf bag after a while! Thanks,Tom Wright
  4. Thanks guys for your replies!I think i've got it sorted now. It was happening in the cruise portion of the flight, but I restarted FSX and reloaded the flight and it was fine. I think it may be because of the weight and balance, as the loader didn't appear to have loaded the aircraft with the correct fuel/load the first time I used it, but I still inputted the figures from the tutorial into the FMC.Anyway my first flight was a success - apart from the landing which was a bit rough!!Thanks,Tom
  5. Hello!I purchased the boxed edition of this product a couple of days ago and have so far flown some of the tutorial flight. The problem I had was that in spot view I noticed that when the autopilot was engaged the elevators were in almost full down deflection, which didn't seem right. The trim was left in the position I set it just after takeoff. I disengaged the AP, trimmed it out and re-engaged the AP, and trim returned to how it was and the elevators moved down again. The load and FMC was configured as it says in the book for the tutorial.Any ideas would be great! I must say the addon is quite spectacular. The visual model and systems depth is staggering!Kind regards,Tom
