I was following this project and also I asked questions to the Swiss developers; it looks like a great idea in order to get a training device completely "playable"; I was thinking to get it right away, but now I'm really busy for my FAA Aircraft Dispatcher training so I don't know when I'll buy it, of course I will!! Ed, unfortunately the tiller wil not operates by its own; probably due to FSX limits I guess it' not possibile to make it working like the real thing. I tuned the twist axis (tiller) more sensitive than the rudder pedals and in this way i can simulate some differece between the two axis; now, the real tiller makes 70° of steering, and the rudder only 7°; i didn't find out yet how to reproduce this via FSUIPC but i got a more true situation compared to default one. If somebody know how to improve this, i will appreciate it!! Bye Marco

I use to assign via FSUIPC the tiller movement to the twist joystick axis and the rudder to the Saytek pedals; in this way a get a pretty good management of both tiller and rudder. Bye Marco

Hi robert, the PMDG MD-11 is actualy one of the best FS planes. It would be nice to get fixed just some issues (like the crash if you put as new destination the departure airport, the APU not burning fuel, etc); we understand how much effort the development of the new beautiful planes request, but the MD-11 absolutely deseves some fixes ;-), also because i guess it was a big challenge to reproduce this kind of complexity (LSAS, Systems, FMC) and it's a pity to leave the bird alone now.... A real pilot who was involved in the development told me that the PMDG MD-11 is a very very good simulation and, afetr those fixes, it could be a good software to truly understand and study how the real MD-11 is... So this is a true appeal in order to get some items fixed and give back life to this fantastic simulator, the best wide body togeter with the 747! Thanks for paying attention to this post Marco

No, it doesn't.Maybe the CD is corrupted (it takes very long to install the software and sometime i got errors during the installing process, finaly I got it but the elecrtical sound is...still quite).In this case can I get a repalcement CD?Or meybe I have to check something else in order to make the dounds to work properly?

Hello, I own the MD-11 for FS9 and now I can't hear the "PMDG_MD11_Cockpit" sound (it's the one you get when you get power supply connected); obviously I tryed to re-install the MD-11 (3 times) but still don't work. When I connect power supply (external or from APU) I get power but.... no noise!I'm using the MD-11 for more than a year and it worked fine all the time, now I can understand what's wrong!!I'm also having CTD problems (it seems becaus of VGA problems) but not only with the MD-11.Anybody knows waht's wrong here?Thank'sMarco

Yes, that's what I did and I checked that the system went in CRZ mode; I didn't see any other way to get in CRZ. Tomorrow I'll try again.

Negative; I just tryed and mine works only in ENG OUT mode; in CRZ mode if I select as NEW DEST the departure airport I still get a CTD.Im' using FS9.Maybe there's a specific way to get in CRZ mode in order to donìt get CDTs?Bye

Sorry but I cant understand the sense; why I need to select ENG OUT if all my 3 Engines are working?I

This bug is very frustrating, because with this MD-11 you get alot of realistic failures but you cant go back to the departure Aiport; just a nosense.I guess in PMDG they're very busy to make the new 737, but I hope they will still listen to MD-11's customers!!!It would be nice to get a feedback from the team about this bug.Bye

I think too that this bug sholud be fixed: to make another example, i was simulating some failures after a takeoff and I had to go back to the departure airport, so I typed the airoport in the field New Destinatin and.............. CRASH!And sometime also with intermediate waipoiont i get this crash.Hope PMDG' gonna fix that!

Hello, I get this issue sometime:I 'm trying some failures after takeoff and then landing back to the departure airport. My departure/destination/altn in the FMC are different (LIMC/LIRF and LIME); after takeoff and after the failure I select on the FMC the next waypoint lateral revision and i set as new destination LIMC (the departure airport), I put a STAR and sometime FS9 crash with black screen.....Any advice about?
