Ok I love the NGX and learning to fly this beauty is a threat. In the tutorial on we are taking off with Derate 2 and reduce temp to 40c, with flap 5. I'm using TOPCAT and I tried to recreate those condition. I have no problem getting exactly that same condition (the V speed are close tough not a match, but it's certainly because the profile is for PMDG old 737). Though if I choose to let the flap setting on "optimum" the 'best' configuration for this take-off is derate 2 reduce temp at 42c and flap 1.Why flaps 5 was choosen in this tutorial instead of 1? Also how do I choose the best climb derate? Thanks for your help, Sincerely,Jeremy

Norman,Do you think it would work if I just install the V.2 files over V.1? I really want V.2 and only one person seems to have the missing files from AVSIM and it's too complicated to make them available.Jeremy

No they don't have this one (and it's truly the best one but in French) it's only available on Avsim. I contacted the author though and he was kind enough to send me the file the next day. (That how I know it's the best tutorial).

Hi again :( ,I'm doing tutorial number 2 and I can't get to generate my *rcd file. I declared the path to save the RCD with my FSX flights. I save my flight and get a working : *flt, *FSSave, *.Wx but no RCD.What should I do?

I started the 2nd tutorial and I ran into another problem. I reached the part where you save the flight. My flight is save for FSX and I can restart it but I can't find any *.rcd file to reload the state or RC4.3Where should I look and what did I do wrong?

Any idea when the 4 missing files from Meatwater sound pack v.2 will be available?

I know the AI is pretty dumb and doing weird things but with FSX they usually don't go on the runway when I'm clear to land.I went over the forum and I saw that I should try lowering the ATC volume instead of shutting it down.

I just finished my first flight with RC: The tutorial #1 KDSM to KORD. I enjoyed it a lot but I had a bad surprise on final.I was clear to land but just a little bit before I pass the runway threshold, I saw another airplane lining up on the runway. I never hear the tower allowing this airplane to get in but the airplane did it anyway and of course the tower asked me to go around. I didn't have much time so I decided to land anyway in front of the other airplane :( and upon arrival my license was nicely taken away from me :( !Is there any reason why I didn't hear the AI airplane being clear for line-up and TO and is there anyway to prevent this kind of joke! Meaning an airplane going on the runway while i'm cleared to land on that same runway?I'm currently just using default FSX AI.

Gary,Glad to hear that you are working on those, not that I though you were not working :( . Thanks again for all the wonderful you are doing. I can't wait to have those files. I asked for them on the Radar Contact forum but nobody seems to have them.

Fede80,Thanks for the answer. I'm just confuse because the file posted on this forum are the version 1. Meatwater created a version 2 and Avsim is missing (for now I hope) the 4 that I listed.If you were in the beta do you have the version 2 files or not. If not does somebody have them. I'm willing to host them if needed and I'm sure Avsim would be glad to have them back if then need them.I just can't believe nobody who ever use version 2 don't have a backup of them.Sincerely,Vaillant

Congretulation for putting the library back online.I know it's still a work in progress and completly understand that. I just want to point out that I was looking for Meatwater's sound pack for Radar Contact 4 (the version 2 of the sound pack with 10 files to download)I was able to download the part 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10 but I couldn't access part 1, 2, 5, and 7.Thanks again for all your efforts.P.S. Just saw the message about not posting about files unavailable.

Hello and thanks again for all the work.I bought a month ago the FS2Crew FSX Cessna 172 software. On my first FSX install I had trouble with my joystick but just recently I figure out what is wrong with a brand new configMy config is currently very simple: Windows Vista Home premium, UAC disable+ FSX + FSX acceleration + Saitek X52 Pro (that's it nothing else)I love my Saitek because it's have a MFD screen which display the radio stack and allow me to change radios really easily from the joystick.Up to there no problem. The sim and radio work fine.Yesterday I just added FS2Crew 172 and then FS2Crew start center April 2009 (last one), no problem either. After reboot I start FSX and the computer recognize a new addon and modification to FSX so I got a text box asking me if I want to allow FS2Crew, I selected "always allow" and right when I click ok the information in my Saitek X52 Pro MFD disapear.If I reinstal after allowing FS2Crew the drivers for my joystick then the radio stack is working again but not very perfectly (freezes, jump numbers...). If I fully unistall FS2crew, then roll back windows to before the install of FS2Crew, and reinstall the joystick drivers then the MFD is working perfectly again. If above that I'm reinstalling FS2Crew: crash again.Seems to me that there is some incompatibilities between the joystick and FS2Crew.Does anybody have an idea on how to fix that. Like I said it's working for me but the MFD is very unstable. No problem of stability with FS2crew.Thanks in advance
