I put away MSFS for the summer and found that it was messed up and not loading when I got back to it. So, now I'm wanting to try something different, First, is it possible to download it to my SSD Drive? (H) If so, what are the steps? If it's not possible, can I then download the packages to another drive? My SSD HD C Drive is only 512gb and I am finding it won't hold everything. Even with just the Standard download with no updates, it makes it impossible to run a video. Anyone got any ideas besides getting a new internal SSD HD? The pocketbook has nothing but a couple of dead moths who died from starvation. Thanks. Gary

I found it! After deciding to push every button to see what it did, I pushed "Refresh Mod List" and a box popped up asking me where my Root Folder was located.

So I watched a video on youtube talking about ModManFX. The instructions say at the first launch. it will ask for the game root folder. Before I got that far, I was trying to install it, and when it just opened up without installing, I closed it again. Now it doesn't ask for the root folder again, and no matter how many times I have tried to clean any reference to it, it never asks me to point to it. Can someone tell me, is it possible to bring that screen up again, or can you tell me how to get that done so I can install to my Community Folder. Also, is this like MSFS Addons Linker that it doesn't install? You just have to use the .exe file every time? I have searched the net, and can not find anywhere it talks about this. Thanks, Gary-

No, I will install Axis and Ohs later, but for now I want to concentrate on Addons. I would like to use Spad, but it's just too complicated for me to absorb.

Well, I'm giving up on Spad.next. My old brain just does not want to understand. I'll use the Linker Addon for the time being. I mostly just want to be able to add Liveries, Scenery and Airplanes, so that will work for me.

Whew! I can see Spad.Next is gonna take some time. 🙂

Thanks everyone! I've had no problems so far, but it's just something extra to consider when setting the controls. About Spad: Do I download "Spad.Next" as the 14 day trial? I notice the payware version is divided into different versions. I assume the 14 day trial version is what they are calling the Complete Version? If I'm reading right, it seems to say that.

I have watched several videos and found the one I want to follow. But I noticed something right away. In my menus, everything is upside down. For instance: throttle 2 mixture is above throttle 1, or Mixture 2 Axis is shown above Mixture 1 axis. This probably does not make any difference, but it's a bit confusing when I'm trying to follow a video which shows them beginning with 1 and progressing to 4.. Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Question: I'm waiting for a HDMI to USB cable to show up before trying to get my Honeywell Alpha and Bravo running with MSFS. While I'm waiting I have been messing around inside MSFS trying to get more familiar, and I'm wondering: When I push controls, the pop-up is for an XBOX controller. Is that normal, or did I download the wrong version of MSFS?

Now, I have downloaded MSFS and all updates, but I have a question. First, I'm not sure I downloaded the right one. It says something about "Digital", which I didn't see before. And, is there anyway to get the gsame icon on my desktop independent of the ms store?

Well, you all probably think I took my information and ran. Not so. pmb, you were right. I have just spent 4 days on microsoft support chat tring to get things going. I won't bore you with all the details except to say my problems started because while i was downloading MSFS I had a power bump which kicked me off the download. I could not start again because it said I already had it. So, I got support on chat and that began a long (maybe total of around 27 hours) time with them. Finally, at the last, they told me I was going to have to reinstall Win 10 because earlier, one of them had installed a TEST account, and I could only log in to it. During the win 10 reinstall, the computer tried to restart (normal), and it would no longer do anything. I mean it just sat there with a power light on the Tower, and nothing else. No monitor, no nothing. They kept trying to tell me it was a hardware problem (Bull), and they could not fix it. Fortunately, I have a Dell with their warranty, so I then called them. Their tech support person kept telling me I had a bad monitor but I have two monitors, and both were acting exactly the same, so I knew that was not true. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he would call me back within 30 minutes. He did, and it took him about 15 minutes to diagnose the problem and about 30 seconds to twell me how to fix it! So, I'm finally back up! No thanks to Microsoft.

Ok, let me try to explain: I'm pretty sure I downloaded MSFS 2020 successfully. However, in the place On MS Store sells the download, there is now a fairly large blue bar with the circle turning in it. Directly below the blue bar, it says has the blue circle with an i in it, then says "installing dependencies". I'm afraid to shut it down because I don't know what this is. B ut it's active.

Thank you for this URL, but all it does is tell you only certain types of Photos can be posted. I can find nothing anywhere in this forum telling how to post photos except some old ones which say there is a "green globe" third from the right in the stuff above my post. No can find..
