  1. Hi Mr. Green,I can only speak for the A320, as that's the one I fly. When I did my type rating. We where required to memorize ALL of the normal procedures and assotiated flows, checklist responses, aircraft systems, relevant limitations. (some training captains will test you in varius ways, like: minimum oil quantity for flight, oil temp limitations, starter motor limitations etc etc) Then there is the memory items. On the Airbus we have 7 (I belive the 737NG has 13) you will be tested in them on your bi-annual check. You should also know where to find supplimentary procedures. The supplimentary procedures are read and do checklist while the normal procedures are done from memory. You are also required to know your operational procedures, weather minima, IFR procedures and minimums. Then there is the local state procedures and local airport procedures.   10. Hi,I would just like to take a moment from the waiting and guessing and say a big thank you to the entire PMDG team for making our hobby a lot more enjoyable. I really admire there professionalisme and dedication to this hobby. A special thanks goes to Robert S. Randazzo, because without him I simply do not think that we would have got to where we are now. I hope the screen shot I've attached will bring back some memories, because that plane and indeed all of them are just outstanding. They truly speak for the company.   11. Cyril,As in the real race Concorde flew to CDG, was on the ground for 52min and then flew back and arrived in Boston 7min before the 747. So it's the time from wheels off at Boston to wheels are back down in Boston we are interested in. Martin

  14. Hi,Recently I've been debating with my self weather to upgrade my graficscard or not. First of all I run both FS9 and FSX and they run "smooth" with the sliders to the right of avarage.(not all the way and no AI and no autogen) I've read *******' post on how FSX processes information and it seems that Stream Processors are very important which makes an ATI 5870 card an appropriate choice, BUT I've also read that ATI drivers are very buggy - Can someone shed some light on that?The other card I had in mind is the 285GTX and while it is both cheaper and has more RAM, it does have only 240 Stream processors. Another problem that I will get is size. What I have available is 265mm and both of the cards are longer. Danny,The CT NDB is both the holding for the missed approach, but also the IAF for the approach it self. so what you do is fly from the holding out on the 219 radial outbound till 7dme from the ICTY and then turn right to intercept the 050 radial inbound. once established on the 219 radial you can decend to 1600feet. 4dme from ICTY is the FAF and also the decent point. The arrows on the holding dictates the direction. In this case it's left turn with an inbound course of 230 and a leg distance of 1min.Feel free to post any further questions :DMartin

I usually use IAS both in climb and desend. now doing des when I select a lower speed i.e. going from 200kts to 160kts the plane starts to climb quite fast - over 1000fpm. I know "Fi-fi" is NOT a Jetstream, but the A/P shouldn't climb to loose speed.for ref: the JS4100 in FSX and "fair weather".Thanks,Martin
  18. On the airbus A320 we normally start engine 2 first. This is because it powers the yellow hyd system which is used for the parking brake. We also start the number 2 engine for the same reason as stated above, should people has to get off we can simply taxi into the gate with the one engine started.AFAIK, the 744's engine are started from number 4 to 1. Concorde's engines are started number 3 and 2 at the gate - then pushback where number 4 and 1 are started.Hope this helps,Martin
