  1. The lag when changing the power setting is a normal characteristic of a turbine engine - particularly the PT6. As for trim, have you tried it on a still wind day? If you're using a weather engine I wouldn't be surprised if it's turbulence that's disturbing the aircraft.
  2. Great, enjoy your weekend A temporary fix I've found is to enter the flight plan in another country and save it to the catalog so that it may be loaded at a later date. Only problem is that this method doesn't allow you to modify it during the flight (loading approaches still works though)
  3. Hi there, I'm having a strange problem where if I try to add a waypoint to the FPL page of the 530 my sim crashes. It only seems to happen at CYBD (I've tried it at another airport on the other side of the world and it works fine). The first time it happened, this error message appeared: http://imgur.com/J3NUFXa The next time the sim just crashed with no message. Here's the EventViewer log: http://imgur.com/FiLA92W Furthermore, I appear to be having the same issue as the poster here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/465490-crash-to-desktop-at-cbx5/. I tried inputting a waypoint at CBX5 and got the same result. So maybe it's something to do with Canada I have the latest RealNavData database installed and am running Prepar3d v2.4 on Windows 7 64bit. Anyway, hoping you can provide some assistance. Really liking the product so far, and can't wait to get it up and running again! Cheers!
  4. And the 530f too, perhaps?
  5. Works great, thank you!
  6. Hi, is there any way to adjust how far I can look left and right when using TrackIR? Currently I can look over my virtual shoulder into the back of the plane but not quite enough to see the elevators. I haven't seen any options to adjust this in the TrackIR limits screen (maybe I'm not looking hard enough!) and I was wondering if this was something I could tweak?
  7. It's not just you, I am as well EDIT: Just after I posted it seemed to have sorted itself out!
  8. Ah well, that's a shame. Would've been a nice little addition though. Thanks for the reply!
  9. Hi everyone, So I was just wondering if anyone knew whether it would be possible to edit the ACAS (Airborne collision avoidance system) to display nearby traffic's altitude in relation to your own altitude? As it stands you have no way of telling how close nearby traffic is to you because you don't know what altitude they're at. Ideally you would see a + or - number next to their symbol on the MFD that describes how many thousands of feet above or below you they are. For example, say you're flying at 8,000ft and you see an aircraft on the map with a -2 next to it. This would mean that they were 2,000 feet below you at 6,000ft. Does anyone know if this is possible? Perhaps Bert you could make a mod for this!?
  10. I tried running as admin but still no luck. I do only have one port open (UDP 3290) though so I'm not sure whether that's the problem or not.
  11. I've tried to open UDP 3290 or whatever it is but I don't have any way to know if its worked. I've also tried to make an exception in Windows Firewall but that doesn't seem to have worked either. Thanks for your help so far
  12. Thanks for the reply, i have set my PTT key as insert but its still not working. I'm really puzzled with this one, Ive tried everything I can think of yet I still haven't made any progress.
  13. Hi everyone, I am having trouble getting Squawkbox 4 to work and I thought I'd post here as the SB forums don't seem to be very active. Basically, I have everything set up and can tune to frequencies and hear other traffic and the controllers speaking, but when I try to transmit I get the annoying buzzer sound that means there is an error and my message is not being recieved. Now I'm fairly sure my mic isn't at fault here as I use it on TeamSpeak regularly and have set it up within SB4. After a look on Google people are saying that it is something to do with port forwarding and stopping the firewall from blocking it and I've tried both of these to no avail. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions? Please help, I really want to fly on VATSIM! Cheers, Oli
  14. Well, I finally got SP2 to work! Only problem is that for some reason I have low volts on the MFD all the time, not sure if this is SP2 related though. Anyone have any ideas?
