Thanks for looking into it Fritz. I understand not many really look at the tach for anything more than setting the RPM. I'm just in the habit of looking at it before the flight, during flight and after like I would in real life. Hehe, you wouldn't believe how happy I get when I see a developer install a Hobbs meter in their planes. :(

Although I know that this is a good way to model having a GPU hooked up, is there anyway to model it like Eaglesoft DG did with their Citation II or like like any of the jets that offer GPU options? I know Carenado is a bit newer to the turbine powered territory so I wouldn't expect the bells and whistles like this but it might be nice to add to later projects especially the C90 (or retrofit it to the C208). Hehe nobody likes to drain the plane's battery sitting there on the ground inputting all the flight data or even worse burning the Jet A and doing the same thing!

Wow, thanks bliksimpie! I agree with Ron that Carenado GPS cover took away from it a bit. It kind of reminds me of how Captain Sim puts their logo everywhere in their planes. Not to be a nag, but had anyone looked into the tachometer not correctly logging engine hours in this plane? I've done a few hours of flights since my last post and it's still giving me erroneous readings.

Hehe guess I'm just use to the older model Cessna and Pipers :(. It does makes sense to add that extra bit of redundancy, I could have used it a few times when I had a failed AI situation. Stupid question, I know, but would this mean that a secondary vacuum pump and electrical system is installed in case something goes awry?

Yeah I second that...Just noticed the extra attitude indicator sitting there in the lower left. That's interesting, can't say I've ever flown anything with a secondary AI in it. A full panel shot would be pretty nice too. :)

Has anyone else had any problems with their tachometer readings? I'm in the habit of logging my flight time using the Hobb's (if the plane has one) or by using Tach time and the Commander isn't logging it right. I just did a flight and noted that the tach read .5 before start up, after a flight of .8 hours I noted after shut down the tach read .3. I can see that it's not advancing the hour dial just the tenth of an hour dial since, considering that the ending time should have read 1.3 hours. Any ideas of how to fix this little problem?No other gripes from me, else-wise she's a wonderful plane!

Wow! Thanks kiwikat! Well, I guess I'll cross a few things of my wish list. The Flight1 Skycatcher and the 182 look pretty nice. I just hope that the detailing they do doesn't look too synthetic. One of the reasons I love Carenado so much is that the textureing, both inside and out, is so realistic that it makes me feel like I'm back in the cockpit flying. I also really like Baytower's RV-7. I guess I've got a lot to look forward to this year

You know, despite some people wanting some crazy planes on here, this actually is a pretty nice idea. The B1900D/C line is doable since it uses the same PT-6A engine, it's panel and cockpit mirrors a C-90 in a lot of ways and its due time that it get some recognition once again. Hehe I'm still flying my PMDG one! :PAs a side note I'd love to see these planes made by Carenado someday:Cessna:162 Skycatcher 177 Cardinal (B or the RG version) 182 (S or T model...their old model could use a revamp IMHO) 402C Businessliner (Like what Cape Air flies) Piper: PA24 and PA30 (Maybe... the Eaglesoft one is still amazing.) PA28-161 Warrior II PA31 Navajo PA44 Seminole PA46-500 Meridian Vans: RV-7 (A)It's all wishful thinking but I think Carenado is on a roll and I know they can do a wide range of planes.

Did some research and you're right. Looking at those leaf-spring looking main gears struts made me think it was fixed not retract. I guess I was thinking the main gear struts would be more tubular like the C182RG. Apparently Cessna did make a fixed gear version but they called it a Cessna 336. lol oh well I'm happy about this development nonetheless! :(

Words cannot express how happy I am to see you guys making the 337! In my honest opinion it was the coolest looking twin that Cessna made and too few of people even know about it. This one is going into my hanger for sure! Btw I'm really excited as well to see how the C90 comes out. Are you going to rough her up inside or give us a clean new cockpit?Also any chance of an RG version of the 337 as well?

Can anyone please help me with this? All I need is for someone with the C340 to copy/paste their [VCockpit03] section from the panel.cfg on here so that I can use my panel again. I would really appreciate the help since I don't know how to fix the GPS units I edited.

Brilliant work Carenado! You guys are really outdoing yourselves at every new release. I can't wait for this one!

Not to sound as if I'm lambasting you guys here but honestly I'd rather wait a little bit longer for the planes Carenado is coming out with. The fact that they even have a C210, B58 and a Commander on their list is impressive as literally no one else is doing GA like these guys are. So long as Carenado never goes the way of Dreamfleet or Eaglesoft DG I will be happy. Lol talk about frustration I'm still waiting on Dreamfleet to complete that long dead project of the Piper PA-28R-200 (straight tail), especially considering I'm the one who made the first suggestion for it!So, really guys just calm down a bit, take a deep breath and wait like the rest of us. If these planes are anything like the last few releases then the wait will be 100% worth it.

Hi everyone,In my attempts to reconfigure my Cessna 340 panel I tried to install the Reality XP GNS430 WAAS units but messed up a little in the panel config. file. I was wondering if anyone can simply paste their [VCockpit03] for "gauges00 and 01" here so I can fix the panel. I had installed the updated GNS430's that included the traffic and map features so if anyone has that setup of the default GPS I would really appreciate it.Thanks!-BrettIf anyone knows where to find that GPS update that would also be appreciated as I can not find it again.

Hey John,I got the paints last night and installed them right away. You did a wonderful job on them both and I'm very thankful! The first thing I did after installing them was fly the FSX Civil Air Patrol mission. It was definitely cool to finally fly the right plane in the right paint job for that. Now I'll I have got to do is figure out to use EditVoicepack and make the "CAP" callsign and everything will be complete. I honestly can't see anything wrong with them. Aside from the limitation of the paint modeling itself and the tail-roundel, its great!Thanks once again for all your hard work John!-Brett

That seems to be the trend as of late. Wilco and their partnership with McPhat seemed to have lead to the resurgence. It reminds me of when PSS and Ariane made you by each paint. I'll hold my opinions on selling separate paints from the plane but nonethelass I'm curious to see the release and the paints included.

Hey John,I know it's not CAP related but I just got the Airbus X and wow is it nice! I just completed a flight that I do a lot from Madrid to Palma de Mallorca with the Air Berlin A321. I don't know if you had your hand at the paint or not but it looks great!

Ouch, that's painful just to look at. Sorry to hear, and see, that. Hopefully you'll get a bit more from the company the driver was employed with. I'd think they would cover damages and the insurance would take the rest. Maybe its a different game where you are than it is in the States. Anyway no problem with the paints, obviously this is a volunteer job anyway and because of that I'm more than grateful for any and all work put towards the final product. Btw that's cool to hear you've got a hand on the new Aerosoft Airbus. Are you at liberty to say how she flies and whatnot? I'm hoping that a few American liveries are put in the package, I've seen a lot of companies as of late do more European schemes. Good luck with everything John!

That interior job looks good, much cleaner and newer looking than the default one.

The 206 looks wonderful John. I don't know, that red is rather garish but it kind of fits... I am using FSX for all planes. I'll see what I can do for pictures, I might not have access to a 182 until the 28th though. Even then I don't know if it will be available. On Monday if the 172 is on the ramp and not being flown I'll try and take a few shots.This is rather amazing if you think of it, if all three Cessna's can be painted then this would be the first complete CAP package for FSX and even FS9. Since no one has developed a Gippsland GA8 Airvan yet, which CAP also uses, that title would still hold. :)BrettI had to do some searching but here is the only personal picture I have of a CAP 172 that I've flown. Rather standard paint job minus the Florida Wing markings on the tail. I believe this was a C172N as well, can't really remember. I did my first ever unassisted landing and soloed in this baby! This was taken at Blackstone AAF in Blackstone, VA (KBKT).
